I was really saddened when I read this. I hadn't had much time to post because things are so hectic now. I'm still in a state of disbelief. I hope and pray that somehow, someway things can work out. Please take it easy as best as you can. You are in our prayers.

Just thought I'd share that we finally got our interview date, Nov. 3rd. I'm flying to Santo Domingo Oct. 31st. A little nervous about the sponsorship part, we need to do it all in assets, but hoping for the best.

Congratulations; I wish you and your fiance all the best! Please keep us posted on how things turn out.

Thanks my friends... I greatly appreciate the kind words and thoughts. This was not an easy decision I had to make, its been going on for months and months.

I was with my bf for 2 years, we are not the perfect match.. we fight ALL the time, get into arguments, he swears at me alot... etc. I have done so much for him, but I cant be getting married to someone and this continues. So after months and months of thinking, crying.... wishing he would change, I decided to end it.

It was the best for me, and I am doing just fine. I know I put so much work into this... papers.... money..... all the waiver work ( yes for 601) but at this point my happiness and health is more important. Please ALL keep me posted on journey..... its best to message me ... that way I dont miss it. Love Oasis.

Hey Oasis, I admire your strength and determination.. I don't beleive we realized the problems, but with those things going on, you are certainly better off...

I realize how painful giving up on something you work so hard and sacrifice so much for.. you are truly a champion in my book.. please keep in touch and stay strong...

Oasis in the posts you've made your lovely personality shines through. No-one deserves to be yelled at or sworn at. I'm not saying we all deserve to be treated like a princess on a pedestal but at the very minimum we deserve love, respect and dignity. Whilst its an awful decision to have had to make considering the time and effort you've put in, its better than continuing with something that you know isnt right for the sake of saving face. You should be very proud of you and one day when the hurt has healed you never know where your life will lead you. Take care xox

Thanks CareBear for the kind words. I never in my life thought I would be cancelling papers - I always imagined it would turn around but it never did. I always took care of my fiance in anyway, was good and loyal to him, but in some ways he treated me bad. Yes I dont expect to be treated like the princess here but what I do expect is that you speak to me with respect, thats all. Its like everytime we got into an confrontation he would start his portuguese talk, start screaming and swearing... and slam up the phone. That was the most difficult part for me, the calling names.. it got me upset and I broke down many times. My trip to Germany made me come to my senses and I a glad I finally did.

No worries I am doing just fine... and I am very happy. Oasis

With all of that, probably the best thing that ever happened was the petition getting sent back for a second round. It gave you the extra time to see how everything really was. As you said, no worries, you're doing just fine and you're very happy. And, that's all that matters.

Take care!
