Hende... I see you sent yours on April 21 too :) Thank you for sharing your story with us :)

I believe it will come ryna.. when we least expect it... maybe the mailman is bringing it to the house now.. LOL.... or maybe someone at the VSC is finally getting our petitions out of the basement.. LOL

Knowing my mailman, and this is no joke, my NOA2 could end up at a neighbor's house and in their trash. I receive various neighbors mail from time to time (and always give it to them) and while I trust most of mine to do the same, I could see others just tossing it...

nothing in my mailbox :( another day another week.

Same here Oasis... but thanks for reminding me that I need to call the post office to have my mailman reprimanded and/or fired. Saturday, I caught him (for the second time) willfully doing things (out of laziness) that could adversely affect my receiving mail.

And, since I will be going away next week, I think I'm going to change my address with USCIS to have anything sent to my parents house. That way, someone will be around to receive anything (esp. an RFE) if I'm not in town. Plus, maybe it'll force VSC to look at it again for the first time in 4 months. Who knows anymore?

I really hope we hear something this week.

I think if we would have received it at the house the uscis site would have been updated. I am worried about my mail in the house too, cause they just throw it in my door entry and everyone has access to it.

Change it to your parents house that way its safe.

I really hope its coming this week.... we waited enough.

I will be traveling on Sept7-25. Not to Brazil but to Germany for work. I am a bit worried about this, worried about my NOA2.. cant check mail at home.... what if its comes when I gone, then I need to prepare for Brazil when I get back.. etc etc.

I know the wait is so frustrating.

If there is any way you can have someone look after your mail or send your USCIS stuff to someone else temporarily, I'd do it. I know the last time I was away for 27 days in June/July and the P.O. was holding my mail for me, it seemed like all the other April filers were receiving NOA2s or RFEs and I was really concerned that I'd return home to an already expired (or close to it) RFE or one that required something from my fiancée. For my next trip, I decided it wasn't worth the worry, so I changed it this morning.

Let's just hope it's not an issue for either of us because we've received good news before leaving.

hmmm now that I am thinking... I would imagine my attorney will get a NOA2 also... in that case she can just tell me.

I doubt we get a RFE at this point, from what I have been reading they come wayyyy earlier and I think we are past this point.

I live in a 3 family house... the last time the people on the second foor where holding their mail at the postoffice, the postoffice was so stuppid and decided to hold the mail for the entire house. Morons :bonk: ... I was starting to wonder why I am not getting mail for all this time... lol

Have to figure out what to do... but hopefully we get our NOA this week and dont ahve to worry at all

I wouldn't think so either but it is the gov't... I saw one case from Feb. where, after they waited the 5 months, inquired and got their Senator/Congressman involved, USCIS "found" it and after 6 months of waiting, the first thing they did was issue an RFE! (which obviously should have been done much earlier.)

These are the horror stories that I'm starting to think and worry about... Our November plans are in serious jeopardy now and, at this rate, the entire year is going to be out of the question soon...

One other thing I noticed... I only want my address changed for the 30 days or so that I'll be away but (after it's done) they say they'll send notice of the change within 45 days! :bonk:

I may very well be home again before they even process it! I don't care if they mail it to my parents house before I leave because they're close enough to retrieve it on the same day, but I hope they don't deliver it to my house while I'm away... That was kind of the whole point in changing it..

NOA2s this week, PLEASE!

Ahhh...

The good news is that my case was touched today so VSC knows we exist.. The bad news is that I'm sure it was only because of the address change. But, I am relieved to know that if anything happens while I'm away, any mailed notice will be received at a place where I can have access to it (verbally or by scanned copy, at least.)

Hoping for our NOA2s this week...

Yeah, I have it set up for email and text msg. I have internet access when I'm in Colombia so I'd see any email, but I try not to use my U.S. cell phone so I probably won't see any text msg, especially since my cell provider only holds them for 48(?) hrs.

I'm just hoping that, even if it was just the address change, that it put my petition back in the active pile. Maybe, just maybe, it was only a matter of the file being overlooked. I hope the delay isn't for anything else because I certainly can't think of anything, at least nothing that wouldn't have already triggered an RFE (a typo or two that I noticed after filing, but nothing major)...

Good luck, Oasis.. You definitely deserve your NOA2 first!
