Hello everyone.....i don't know if its a silly question but i'll still ask just the same...do we need to wait for the NVC letter before my fiance send me the documents (i-134, divorce decree, etc.)....do we need the nvc notification letter later on in the interview? medical exam? needs some enlightenment..thanks

I don't know about the interview and medical requirements but I can't think of any reason why he shouldn't send you the documents now. In fact, he probably should because they may take a while to arrive. If the NVC letter is needed for any reason, it could always be sent later separately.

No Ryna. Ohhh the minute I hear I will be posting here.

I am a little worried about my NOA2 since the liason merged our petitions together and there is a huge about of evidence in the second petition.

I hope this is not holding VSC up from approving my case again so I can move forward.

Ryna, I think there are also some cases from March.. correct me if I am wrong. Trying to be strong and positive but sometimes it gets difficult for me.

Anything over a few days, and you probably have been flagged for additional processing at the NVS. I am in the same situation with them. It seems to be a more in-depth background check, but there is no way to know for sure. You have to call and talk to a real person to find out if your in the "additional processing" status, since their automated system does not report on 'K' visas. They won't tell you anything more though. After waiting for the NOA2, now we have to wait another 2-5 weeks for the NVS. It's really frustrating.

I was in the same boat and someone explain to me you get flagged for various things. So relax and just wait it out. It is a long process. I know it easier said then done. I will see if I can find that old post.

Sorry, I meant NVC not NVS in my last post.

There are a few forums for stuck in AP@NVC under the sections:

For all us stuck in this bureaucratic situation.

Here is the original quote someone sent me. I hope this helps. It could be a number of things.. been married before.. that often causes them to check the validity of the divorce... govt security clearance holders sometimes get checked out... and name checks that came up in USCIS also get redone or additional checks done at NVC... in any case.. its usually less than 4 weeeks to get done now...
