Ok well 4 years ago hubby went to first appt they gave him the 3 year ban because he was an "abuser" of drugs. Then last year in like October he got ANOTHER 10 year ban he said the lady said it was because of the amount of times he has been caught. He has been caught 3 times but has had voluntary departures, and I was told this wouldn't affect his papers. Is this true? Is there anyway we can try to get this decision overruled? He says some black lady interviewed him the last time and she was real rude. I have two little ones 3 and 6 yrs old and they really really need there dad. Please help

Sorry to hear you are doing single parent duty. The best site for immigration issues like yours is immigrate2us.net They specialize in deportations, waivers, and bans. This group concentrates on more mundane issues like if it is better to use paper clips or alco fasteners on the paperwork.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Maybe not for getting caught but maybe for the amount of time he spent in the US illegally? Is that what your getting at?

A bit more information on your case would be helpful, such as did you receive information on a waiver? How long has he been out of the US? Are you sure his catches were just catches and not expedited removals? Have you done an FBI finger print check to be sure?

Good luck.

Are you married? You say you filed for a K-1, you are in for another dissapointment if you filed for a K-1 and are married. K-1s are for fiance(e)s

I second what the Nigerian said: go to immigrate2us.com and post there.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.
