need help again "returned k-1"

Hi everybody,

Well after my interview at casablanca,my case was returned to uscis..The case was sent from NVC and it was received by VSC on March 25 th..So if anyone has the experience or knows anyhting about,he can help me and tell me about the estimate time that the case can be reaffirmed,I know I need to wait but I just want to know if anyone has gone through this thing,what about VSC,can they reaffirm a returned K-1..I hope tohear from you all,and thank you so much..

Were you denied the visa at the interview? If you were, it appears your case has been returned to the USCIS where it will be kept in "long-term storage" or some interesting place. Really, I was quite confused with some of the words you used in your posting. If the visa was denied...there is only one place to start. Begin again with the process.

PS To my knowledge, there is no appeal process. The approval/denial is solely at the discretion of the consulate professional who speaks with you at the interview. What do you mean by "reaffirm?"

01.04.2010 I-797 NOA Receipt Notice WAC1006xxxxxx

03.02.2010 Request for Evidence: CSC wanted copy of previous divorce decree. Arrived @ CSC 03.12.1010

03.16.2010 I-797 NOA-2 Approved and sent from California Service Center 71 Days from NOA-1

03.16.2010 USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center.

03.23.2010 NVC sent file to U.S. Embassy in San Jose, Costa Rica! SNJ2010XXXXXX

03.26.2010 Received NVC letter (hard copy) dated March 24, 2010 in the mail.

03.27.2010 File arrived @ U.S. Embassy.

04.07.2010 Embassy called for Elsie to come and get Packet #3. She will pick up April 13th.

04.08.2010 Embassy e-mailed Packet #3 to me today.

04.15.2010 Interview scheduled for 30 April 2010

04.30.2010 Visas approved...pick up everything on 5/4/2010 @ 3pm.

05.05.2010 Traveling together to the USA...POE Denver, Colorado

07.28.2010 Married today...end to a long journey with more to come!!

VSC isn't as consistent as CSC with returned K1 petitions. CSC will sit on them a bit and then declare they have expired and you are free to refile ( and pay the fees again ) VSC tends to reaffrim some, issue NOIDs on others and expire others. I was a CSC filer so I am not as up to timelines for VSC . Just prepare for a NOID or rebuttal or a refile because you will need the evidence no matter what happens.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
