Background check question

Hi VJ community!

Ok, I got my criminal background check sheet done in late December 2009, early January 2010. We have been approved for our K1 on March 19th (NOA2), and will most likely get an interview in July or August.

Will they consider my background check too old at the consulate?

Thank you for answering!

The backgorund check is valid for one year from the date it was issued, regardless of what it may say on the certificate itself.

Incidentally, your K-1 is not approved. You have not even applied for a K-1 visa yet. Your US citizen petitioner's petition is approved. They are not the same and an approved petition does NOT mean an approved visa. Your preparation and interview will determine that.

Thanks Gary and Alla, that's what I meant, the petition was approved.

Has anyone had any problems recently at the consulate with their background check?
