2009 tax evidence for I-134

Hi. Both I and my co-sponsor are gathering docs for the affidavits of support, and I'm wondering about tax records for the latest year, as we are right in the dicey window where transcripts aren't ready but might be ready by the time of the interview.

Is it okay to send simply a copy of 2009 tax return plus W-2 instead of waiting for transcripts? Is there a chance London will send us back to get the official transcript at the interview stage if we've only presented the return and w-2 as evidence?

i have never provided IRS transcripts at any time in the process... just provided copies of the actual returns

As far as I know that when I submitted my tax return for the three recent years they took it with w-2 as far as for my co-sponosor they took those out and said it was not require only the recent year not all the three years. Hope they did it right? Any thoughts on this for co-sponsor.

Same here - I did not send transcripts. I made copies of my past tax returns (all forms) and the w2's. We did not have any problems.
