I bought stuff to make my hubby a Easter Basket.. he was mentioning awhile back that his mom always made them one..

I bought the stuff a week or so ago and threw the chocolate in the freezer.. I realized I also threw the chocolate covered marshmallow things in there too... not sure how they will be once thawed ...lol

the hubster doesn't get Easter off... his family doesn't seem to celebrate Easter anyways...

even when we were adults my mom would make us Easter baskets and then she would hide them too and we had to find them..lol

Happy Easter :)

I was under the impression that hardly anyone gets tomorrow off... At least, that's what my husband says who is most certainly stuck working

I grew up catholic and went to catholic school so I've always had good Friday off. When I started working I would ask for it off and site religious reasons, their hands were tied :P

Yea it's weird eh? I always have Monday's off (3 day weekend all year wut wut!) and so I asked my husband if he had Easter Monday off and he was like: "No.." and then I started making fun of his boss, because his boss doesn't celebrate anything, and he let me go on for a few minutes and then said: "Nevada, no one has it off"

Oh. Well... carry on then.

He's going to take it off anyways but it was funny.. guess you had to be there.

Donne moi une poptart!

Yeah...I'm STILL surprised. I mean, I've known for a long while that Easter isn't a holiday down here, but it still shocks me. I think America is typically a more devout country than Canada, yet Easter is a MUCH bigger deal in Canada than it is here.

I think I'm going to dress up like a giant bunny today and torment the cherry blossom festival goers.

The public schools in my area of Michigan always take spring break the Friday before Easter (Good Friday) through the Friday after Easter. My private school doesn't. My Canadian fiance' was surprised since he has the day off. I think Canada does have more holidays than the U.S. where "everyone" is on vacation. My fiance' was like, "Well, I am sure all the stores will be closed on Easter Sunday. " No, reduced hours, maybe, but probably open like any other day.

Easter is a holiday here. Where I live, it's quite a big holiday, however, Easter is on Sunday....... No need to drag it on another day.Do you celebrate the day after Thanksgiving? Halloween? Nope.

Happy Good Friday everyone.

So my wife and I are going to Target after I get off work today to get each other easter presents. I only want one thing, and one thing only. Cadbury cream eggs. I love them so much. Until the last couple of years, they only sold them at easter time. Now, they sell them year round. This scares me because I love them so much and am afraid if I eat them year round, I won't like them anymore. I tend to overdo things. So i've insisted, now for almost two years that my wife does not buy me any cream eggs except for easter. I am sooooooooooooooooooo looking forward to sunday.
