We opted to pay by personal check so we could track whether they already cashed it or not through online banking ^_^

My husband and I have used cashier's check from Citibank. We didn't monitor when it was cashed. That was our decision. Everything still went by fast.

I hope all the best for your AOS.

The only pictures you have to send are six passport-type photos (two for the I-485, two for I-131, and two for I-765).

If your case gets transferred to CSC, you wouldn't be interviewed anymore.

Check and double check before you submit.

Thanks,

I believe some people sent a few pictures or a collage with their AOS packet but we didn't - we just sent what was required as per the I-485 instructions. We had a photo album ready for the interview but our IO didn't ask for them. It really depends on the IO who handles your case. Some of them will ask for pictures, others may focus more on joint financial documents/statements, etc.

Hope that helps! ^_^

Good luck! Hope you have a smooth, speedy AOS approval!

I thought I only needed 2 pictures. I did not think it was required for the I-765? I was reading the instructions and I don't seem to find it... I'm not filling the I-131 is it recomended?

Thanks,

If you don't have a plan to travel in near future or overstayed, then you don't need to mail I-131.

BTW, you need 2 pics for I-765 though. It says on the instruction.

You will need a total of 4 passport pics for the package and 1 for your husband.

1 of him for I-130

1 of you for I-130

2 of you for I-485

1 of you for I-765- Hope I got that right

As for the check, money order, cashiers check issue; I posted the same question and I concluded that it would be not just more economical but more efficient to use personal checks versus cashier's checks. As per the money order, they only come in increments of $500 so for the I-130 (1 money order for $355) and for the I-485 (3 money orders for $500, $500, and $10). So I'd go with the personal checks if you have them.
