Do you guys know if they stamp your passport if you get approved at the interview? Does that stamp make you eligible to work and get a SSN? It sucks having to wait for the green card. Its already very hard to get interviews for jobs and the ones you do, you have to tell them you can't work yet you still can't give them a set time frame as to when you could. I think I applied probably for 80 jobs and got ONE interview. The interview went so well and I believe they most likely would have hired me if I could have started work right away.

Felipe23,

man Ronaldinho is not playing with brazil team in this world cup. If he was playing with them I'd deffinitly be a Brazil fan. But now Arganitinaaaaaaaaaaa. I;m with Messi's troops my friend. Even I feel that next match with Germany maybe the last but I like Messi anyway :) "sport talk on the side" doesn't harm.... LOL

Good luck

Leo Messi, Sergio Ramos are my dudes yes... But Im torn between Portugal, Brazil and Argentina... I LOVE U BECKHAM lol

If you want to go that route Alla... To get something translated you have to go through a "certified translator" even though you can translate it yourself. I found a company through google and these translators have some sort of identifying number etc that they put on the translated document. So your mom could send you a letter and you'd have it officially translated.. Just FYI... but I think you have enough stuff as it is :)

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

Some IO's stamped your passport upon approval, which makes you eligible for SSN and employment (still have to apply and wait for SSN which coukld take 2 weeks so its almost the same as waiting for the GC  )

Good luck in your job hunt. I've put mine off until the results next week so i can committ to the one I want.

Oh, I should include also pre-marital education certificate. Thanks for reminding! :star:

I also have a lot of emails and chats that are inappropriate for them. but I'm going to bring just summary page of our correspondence.

We are also same religion, same home country, same native language, little difference in age, same last name.

OMG that is so weird to look at us from the side... It is so much more than all this stupid standards of a married couple on a paper.

:hehe:

I thought about it.But my parents in Belarus and I don't know how to translate it and notarize. I guess I will have to wait and see if officer will ask for it. But thank you for an advise.

I was surprised also. Bring it on the interview!

If I can find them... I think it was in two or three of the bulletins

Sometimes they stamp, sometimes they just say that you are approved, sometimes they don't say anything. In all case you will later receive a welsome letter and in about 2 weeks GC. But you can not start working until you receive your GC. You need to apply for SSC and DL/ID and then you can work.

I know your situation, I was in exact the same. I started looking for a job when I received EAD, that way I didn't worry about having to wait and make them wait. Usually companies don't like such situations.

I applied may be for 200 jobs and got about 20 interviews. Most of them I could not go to, because I don't have a car. It sucks! But don't be upset!!!

I wish you all the best!!!

Besa, you can't apply for ssc with stamp. Some people did from March filers and they were all denied.

Wow, I didn't know that. I thought she needed to do it all over there and those translators always charge a crazy amount and notarization can be only performed through judge?which is hard to get to.

Thanks for info! In case we will be asked by officer, I will now know what to do.

Yea this situation sucks. I already have DL and a SSN just need that GC so I can get a unrestricted SSN. Why would employers wait for you when there are hundred other vying for the same job. Oh well can't really doing anything about it. Sucks sitting at home and not doing anything. Need dolla dolla feel very broke right now.

yea You cannot just translate it yourself, but u go to a agency, there are tons in nyc anyway Im sure there must be some in atlanta. I got a birth certificate from my country and went to get it officially translated and they tranlate literally everyword and then they officially stamp it. it costs like max 20$ i believe.

But i believe you have enough evidence.

STILL no interview letter today, and still no EAD approved! ugh!! :crying:
