I HATED Chase, too many fees and ways to get you to fork up some money every month

I don't like chase, either. Wamu was so much better.

Wamu offered free for international wire transfer but chase doesn't do this anymore. Blood sucker.!!!

Too many fees and weird policies.

Well I got a shock this morning when I checked my online status:

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision

Your Current Case Status for Form I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Decision

On June 1, 2010, we mailed you a denial decision notice for this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. The notice explains why the denial decision was made and the options that may be available to you. If you have not received this notice within 15 days of June 1, 2010, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

I have no idea what the hell is going on. This doesn't make any sense. My biometric appt letter was dated 1st June also. I have never received any of the denial letters above so far. Could this possibly be a mistake on USCIS's behalf??? Why would they deny my application but also send out my biometric letter on the same day???? I am so upset. I am going to have to phone them to see what is going on. I will be very very angry if this is a mistake. This is my life they are messing with. They said they sent out denial letters on the 1st June??? This is now the 19th June!! What the **** is going on???

Oh man...I am so sorry.

I think the denial was probably due to the RFEs. Maybe they were not satisfied with the RFE response you sent them before June 1st. Just wait until the denial notice comes in, get an attorney and do a Motion to Reopen.

I think it is a mistake. The online status for the I-130 petition hasn't been denied. They said they denied my I-485/I-765 on the same day as they sent out the biometric appt letter - I don't think so!! The denial letter was sent out to me on the 1st June, so where is it then? The mail may be slow in this country but it certainly doesn't take 18 days to get to me up here. I have a feeling a dumb USCIS employee has pressed the wrong button on their computer and if they have they better get fired cause when I phone them on Monday I am going to kick off big time. Why would I have to attend my biometric appt on the 16th June if I had been denied?? It doesn't make sense. We supplied them plenty of evidence as they asked in the RFE. I don't believe this is the reason to deny me.

Yeah this is a delicate situation but I dont see why they would deny your EAD and not the I-130. Please consult with a lawyer or Catholic Charities (they're usually free) because you do need to find out whats going on. I'd recommend posting in your own thread to get more answers; maybe schedule an INFOPASS...

Unfortunately since its the weekend I have to wait until Monday to do anything about this. First thing I am going to do is phone USCIS (they will probably know nothing as usual but I suppose I have to phone them first). The online status was just updated yesterday (I check everyday) but was dated from 1st June. I was expecting my I-485/765 to be touched after my biometrics on the 16th June, but didn't expect anything like this. I just don't understand what is going on. My RFEs were very straightforward and I do not see why having 2 RFEs would cause my case to be denied. Also, why would they schedule my biometrics appointment if they knew my case was denied?? It's very strange that my I-130 is still ongoing and hasn't been denied along with the other 2.

There is no way that we can afford a lawyer. If I do not get any answers from the phone call to USCIS on Monday then I wil have to schedule another INFOPASS which means another 14 hour roundtrip to Anchorage.

I will post this as a seperate thread and see if this has happened to anyone else.

I think you're right about the RFE's, it doesn't matter if you have had 0 or 4. Several people here on VJ have had 2 RFE's without getting denied.

I was wondering if they maybe send the boimetrics letter from another center/location and that is why you still received it?! Some lawyers let you do a payment plan (mine did) and some can give you a free consulting phone call or email, maybe that will help....I don't know.

I understand your frustration and just hope you will get some good answers on Monday that will help this go away.

Everything has been sent from the Missouri SC. My I-130 petition was moved to the Missouri SC last month and all my RFE stuff was sent back to the Missouri SC as well. I think the USCIS are a joke and employee people who have no clue about anything. The reason I got my first RFE was ridiculous. We made an INFOPASS because of this RFE and the IO that I spoke to couldn't understand why I got an RFE in the first place. Never mind, hopefully I am a lot closer to finding out what is going on on Monday.

So sorry to hear that. I'm sure everything will work itself out. As you said, call on Monday and figure everything out. You will DEFINITELY be in my thoughts. I truly hope everything works out for and your husband.

In my understanding, when they send you the interview letter, they send your file (hard copy) to local office in which they prepare themselves for the interview as well.
