It helps a lot, you are right. We'll see! :star:

I have not heard anything since our stuff was touched after biometrics, not even a notice that they received our biometrics.

Why have they stopped doing anything?

I called FBI and they told me that my fingerprints and background check have been processed and sent back to USCIS. After that they are supposed to send the case to the local office.

Usually it takes USCIS 3 weeks to mail you something (interview,RFE) after biometrics.

But if it has been over 3 weeks, you can call them and ask if your background has been checked and fingerprint report has been sent back to USCIS. They can't give any information regarding details, what is in a report.

They ask for Name and Alien Number. Number 304-625-5590

Question: Anyone who already did biometrics,

what do they ask? cuz i know there are forms to fill out, they ask for alien number?

that is the number A# which is printed on the receipt for the i485 which is Applicant A987654321?

I know I should bring ID and the recipt for the Applicant A number?

Thank You

Well I went down to Anchorage for my INFOPASS appt. I was only in 10 mins but I spoke with a lovely IO called Joy who gave me here direct phone number just in case I have any questions or problems again. She told me that all we had to do was to send in a letter explaining why my husband didn't have tax returns for his self employed position as a taxi driver, and that was it. She also told me a few things about the people that receive our applications and who send out the RFEs. It was very interesting

So we sent off the RFE documentation yesterday. My husband also got a letter yesterday from USCIS saying that the petiion has been sent on to the Missouri office to help speed up the process. That is the same office where the RFE came from so it looks like everything is now in one place B-)

Fingers crossed that everything now goes smoothly

The form is real simple one about your info name, address, things like that.

When you go for biometrics, you need to bring ID, marriage certificate(just in case if you change name) and biometrics NOA which has your A#. So not to worry.

After biometrics, they will stamp on your NOA and give it back to you.

We went to the Manhattan place and they were very nice. We went on Friday afternoon, around lunch time, and the security guard told us they only do walk-ins on Wednesday. After he told us that, he said, "but I'll let you go." It was COMPLETELY empty, and we finished in less than 10 minutes (we were surprised how fast it was too).

My wife is so cute: she asked if she could see the photo the biometric people took, and if she didn't like it, I think she was going to ask them to take it again!

Anyway, hope that helps.

We just got an electronic notice for an RFE on the I-485 form. I wonder what they could want?! Everything that can go wrong is going wrong. =( First the mess with the check and now this.

Does anyone know if this will affect the processing times of the I-765 and I-131 as we need those ASAP.
