Hey, I was wondering if we are supposed to get a receipt or something for the biometrics? My wife keeps talking about a yellow paper that indicates they received your biometrics, but we haven't received anything.

As far as I know you are not supposed to receive any receipt from biometrics. They just give you a letter back with a stamp. You can call USCIS or do info pass to find out if your biometrics were excepted and processed.

The only one yellow paper I can think of is the one that ASC give you after biometrics. Its satisfactory paper and you need to fill it up how you liked the service and put in a box there.

Me toooo.... Some people got it in 15 days. Earliest 12. Average is 20. I need to do statistics

I feel so so bad for you! Sweety, you will get it for sure. :luv:

Sometimes EAD comes first, sometimes interview letter. Recently very little people received EAD before interview.

As soon as you will have your green card approval letter, you can go and apply for SSN and after for ID and DL.

you mean after biometrics r done right?

I was just looking at your time-line and I see its been like 20 days since biometrics so you could prob be expecting the interview letter this week right? oOo Exciting!! Good Luck!! Im keeping my finger crossed!

Separate question:

Was wondering if anyone heard or read anything about this topic.

When filing out the i-485 we needed to give the number off the little white piece of paper I-94 that we got when entering the country Arrival/Departure Record.

Well they also put a stamp in your passport wit a visa number, they wanted that visa number. Unfortunately my passport was lost few months after I came here and I got a replacement at the consulate here in the US. So i dont have that stamp. I hope the i-94 copy is enough proof i entered the country legally and with inspection and I wont have a problem. Any thoughts?

Thx :luv:

My wife lost her OPT number because she never used it and instead entered graduate school. We attached a letter of explanation and wrote in the field of the I-765 where they asked about OPT "see attached." It seems to have worked out and we're still in processing without issue so far...

Don't know if that helps.

Yes, I meant after biometrics done. I'm expecting the letter this week... Will see! :star:

What I would suggest you regarding your I-94 is to file Form I-102, Application for Replacement Arrival-Departure Document ASAP.

I heard sometimes IOs are very strict about it and request replacement, in tough cases they may deny your petition if you fail to prove that you entered with inspection. OPT is a little different from I-94 as it represents work , not legal entering on the U.S. territory.

You can hope that you will be fine, but it's little chance.

Go file replacement !!

Yea i wasn't sure what the OPT was..

No actually i DO have the white I-94 card ! It wasn't attached to my passport and I DO have that. But they Also put a stamp in your passport and write some visa number in there. That is what i DONT have, because i lost my passport.

But the departure/arrival I-94 record I do have and i sent them a copy off, so im hoping that would be enough.

This week I am expexting my biometrics, Waiting and keeping fingers crossed!!! :)

Oh than you are fine! They put same info in passport but stamp. It's totally the same. You scared me that you didn't have I-94 ))

Has anyone tried to expedite the I-765 to get the EAD card before waiting for 90 days? I was wondering if anyone tried calling the 1800 number to put in an expedite request. My OPT expires in the middle of June and I doubt I will be able to get the EAD until July based on my timeline. I am working currently btw. I was also told by the IO back in March that I can do an Infopass and try to expedite it but I wonder if anyone of you had done it. Also with the stamp in the passport, that be temporary work authorization as well? Thanks!
