I might as well join the May filers now, since I got a RFE today. I guess the walk-in Biometrics wasnt needed after all!

Bes, did you get your biometrics notice yet?

Hey hon, sorry to hear about ur RFE... they suck... Try to hurry and collect your evidence and make corrections accordingly.

Unfortunately, the story of my life is that everyone who filed the same day as mine has already gotten and did their walk-ins and people who filed up to 4 days after me got their letters. This sucks huevos...

Phew! Got my Biometrics letters today (I-765 and I-485) and both were dated April 29. Appointment is set for May 27 but I can't wait for three weeks to do it! I'll do a walk in by the end of this week =)

Does anyone know how long it will take to receive the physical EAD card? My OPT ends in mid-June and I would loath to not have an EAD while waiting for one through AOS. Anyone had any luck with expediting the I-765??

I heard it takes roughly a month after you do your biometrics, so you should be safe if you do it ASAP.

However, the longest I've heard is 2 months. I think it might depend on where you are being processed.

Oh well they sent it back pretty quick, atleast thats good.

But wit soo many forms and so many signatures cant blame you. I sent i130 i485 i756 wit affidavits of support taxes medical explanations photos...

that was a HUGE envelope!!!!

I am seriously praying i dont get a RFE on something becuase i really tried hard to complete each and every little thing and explain every thing which they could question !! if its not spelled out black and white they dont understand..

Im sure everything will be moving along!! :)

Good Luck

As in the National Benefits Center vs. other service centers or are you referring to the local USCIS office? I suppose that the MSC (National Benefits Center) processes the I-485, I-765 and I-131 unless they move it to a service center.

Yeah, exactly. My wife is waiting for the same thing, actually, because she does research and that demands (by nature) extra unpaid time, which stresses her. She follows visa information on a Korean site called MissyUSA, and it seems it takes about a month for NYCers.

Where is everyone checking their status and finding "touched" and other stuff? Is there a way to signup online when any action on your app is done?

Sign up online on USCIS web site and go to "My portfolio". You will see the latest update on each form, that means that your form has been touched.

Thanks! I signed up for email and txt notifications, but it seems everything except the I-485 was touched/updated yesterday (I-485 was updated on May 3rd). I guess going into biometrics on Friday paid off?

Another question: can my wife sign up for the same cases so she can get updates via email and text to her email account and phone (respectively)?

Early biometrics really help. There is no doubt. Some people receive interview letters on or right after the original biometrics date.

Yes, your wife can sign up also, but she needs to register with different ID and enter receipt numbers again.

Me and mu husband use the same account but updates go on my email/phone.
