Got my biometrics appointment notice today for May 26 in Saint Paul, MN. I have a problem now. I am moving to Wisconsin in a week and I changed my address online at USCIS, but I guess it was too late. I have read stories about people going to a different office to get their biometrics done in similar situation. Does anyone have any experiences like that? I will call the customer service on Monday and see what they say.

Its a gamble, but maybe your right, maybe waiting for the whole thing and then submitting it all together could have taken later then getting a RFE and submitting it now. Well be sure to go to a civil

Received NOAs for I-485, I-765 and I-131 yesterday and all were dated April 27 =) I was also wondering how you would be able to know if your application was "touched". Is it somewhere in the case status lookup in the USCIS website?

Anyone?

I can't answer your question about going to a different office, but would it be possible for you to do a walk-in at the St. Paul office before you move? That way, you don't have to worry about the hassles of going to a different office, AND you cut off about three weeks of waiting time before they begin the next step in the process.

Tell me about it. They started out fast and now they're sacking off... :(

Our package was delivered two days before yours, and our NOAs were dated two days before yours, and we received the biometrics letter on Friday. I'm betting yours will be in the mail on Monday!

It means acceptance, not that its correctly filled out or lacking evidence, thus the reason they can send a RFE AFTER checks are cashed... Gosh they can send a RFE anytime before the actual interview if they feel your package is missing something.

Thank you for the information! I already knew about the RFE... My question was, if the cheques were cashed does it mean I FILLED OUT (signed, dated etc) the paper work correctly. I wasn't asking about the evidence. But my question was answer nonetheless, thank you!

I can't answer your question about going to a different office, but would it be possible for you to do a walk-in at the St. Paul office before you move? I would but its my finals weeks. I have exams everyday. I might reschedule because I don't wanna drive 5 hours to Saint Paul and back. I know rescheduling will delay the process by at least a month.

AAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW I'd be so siked... I am from Wilmington DE and I put Philadelphia as my closest office even though I'm about the same distance from Dover office. Maybe they're correcting me on that and sending me to the closest one (in their mind) lol
