According to my lawyer, I (well, my husband) do not need to file another I-130, so it will save me that money, at least! As long as she is correct. unsure.gif

I thought so because originally my husband and I were planning on going the IR1 route. We were just about to send off the I-130 when we started thinking we could go AOS. I really didn't want to delay the I-130 any longer but we weren't ready to send in the I-485 yet, so I investigated if I could send it later. I don't remember where I read it, but I know it was on an official site that it said it was possible to send in the I-485 with proof of a pending I-130. Ultimately we waited because we had to delay the I-130 briefly anyway and the site said it was preferable to send them off together, so we just waited a little longer to send them all off at the same time.

Anyway, I'm glad it will save you the money. I don't know that it will save you any time on the I-485, but who knows. Anyway, they seem to be going very quickly. Here's hoping.

Got my biometrics appointment notice today for May 26 in Saint Paul, MN. I have a problem now. I am moving to Wisconsin in a week and I changed my address online at USCIS, but I guess it was too late. I have read stories about people going to a different office to get their biometrics done in similar situation. Does anyone have any experiences like that?
