APRIL 2010 FILERS

so our appointment was at 1PM in Garden city and we arrived at 12 since it was too early we went to McDonald's right next door to eat something.

we pass by security around 12:20 and drop our letter and wait to be called downstairs around 1:20 we were call to go upstairs and we wait about 15 min to be called ,the IO was an asian lady that i feel so bad to no remember her name

we went to her office that was full of little bonsai trees and she swore us ,she start saying my name and to see my passport and she ask me:

ok where did you guys met?

i told her the place and she was asking about (was a restaurant) and my wife was answering the questions with me she ask who attend the weeding ,if i knew her family and who support me to come to US(i came with 20 years old)and than she said that if we were married for 2 years we will get a permanent resident for 10 years and we were like wait a minute we are married for two years we just celebrate last week?!?!?and she apologize maybe she read a 9 instead of 7 on the papers...lol.

well after that we spend almost 30 min just talking to her about everything that you can imagine(world cup,trips,how long island is better than NYC...lol) she was so cool, after that she said that she is gonna stamp my passport if i need to travel and that the green card will arrive in 2 months(i know that it doesn't take that long)

well that was all folks hope everybody have good interviews and wish the best for you all

yyaaayyy!!! wow u were married 2 years? well u def didnt have anything 2 worry bout, would be hard 2 question it if u waited 2 years before u applied? so wait u wont be gettin a conditional green card right? u just get a normal 10 year green card?

I worked at a fast food place during school. It seems like places like these, management seem to be completely inept. God I hope I don't have to work at places like these again, but then again I might not have a choice. Speaking of Pizza Hut, I do LOVE their stuffed crust pizza which I will be having this Friday for our movie night with my wife.

lol...

Hubby & I are thinkin about me quitting but gosh its only been a week so i'll see if i get anything better or if they get it together. I had an interview this morning and another one at Macy's at 6:30 tonight...

That's true on my passport she wrote IR6 that is the 10 years green card

No more interview or nothing like that since the status is permanent forever just the card it self is what expire.

MP did u got a welcome letter already ??

Sorry I've disappeared, but the combination of 2 girl friends visiting and a virus on my computer didn't helped at all!

First of all congrats to Felipe and bl@ckrose on your approval! so glad this group is almost done! can't wait to hear so news from Janah though...

I receive my green card last Friday (08/06) Exactly 2 weeks after ITW. The day before I got my "family book " from France in the mail (so we're also married there now) just before picking up my first friend at LAX, and the following day, same thing w/ green card while going to pick up the other friend at the airport. It made me laugh ! My friends are so good that they make good news coming in the mail!!! LOL ;b

It looks like in SoCal, we receive our cards exactly 2 weeks after interview ! I hope it will go as smoothly for you all!

Hey guys, congrats on all your approvals. Walaa and I still are waiting for a decision, it's been 2.5 weeks. Sorry I was MIA, I was actually in the hospital, stomach flu and extreme anxiety/stress.. go figure! thanks INS. Baby is fine, I am just taking it easy but I am recovering, was off work for a week. I hope to get things back to normal starting monday... GOD WILLING.

yea i got my approval letter like a week ago, waiting for my GC 2 come in the mail !

I went to the dmv the other day, passed my permit , had 2 wait for like an hour after passing though for the supervisor, they said ok u passed but the supervisor has to approve the fact that u dont have a GC but only the stamp... and apparently he had 2 verify that the GC stamp in my passport was not fake... so offcourse until he came it took over an hour... but im glad it all turned out OK and i can schedule my a test date for my druvers licence :)

its soo great not to be stressed bout all this anymore!!

JANNAH, im sorry 2 hear that u were not feeling very well.

Take care of urself, u r a real trooper! 2 tell u the truth idk how I would do it: Work, take care of 2 kids, run the house all while u r pregnant and stressing about immigration.
