I had my interview today set at 11:30 am but we arrived 15 minutes earlier. We are the only couple set for the interview so we didn't wait that long. The officer was really nice and she interviewed as together. She only ask few questions like:

1. How long we've known each other?

2. MY husband and my work?

3. Age

4. Confirm if it was our first marriage

5. Basically asked the one in the forms (communist, prostitution, etc)

6. Address

7. My celphone number

Then she asked some proof of our relationship (bank statement and my health insurance). I offer some pictures but she doesn't want it because she will include it in our file. After that she gave me a form (application for conditional card) and asked me to sign it, took my I-94 and gave me a booklet "Welcome to America". She didn't literally said that I'm approved. She simply explain whats a conditional greencard. But she says that if ever I'm approved I'll be having my new card in 2 weeks =D

Good for you, sounds possitive...

Yay!! Approved!!!!

And we got such a cool nice funny IO officer! He was so nice! Even told us about a cool museum in NYC that we should check out if we like musueams cuz he saw we were in philadelphia at the art museum. He wrote down all the info and adress 4 us. Really it was such a nice guy!!

Now we are waiting, he asked if we could give him one more hour of our time and to go get coffee something 2 eat and come back 2 pick up the stamped passport which is the temp green card!! Yay!!!! Yay!!! I'm soo happy I almost cried from the happiness stress etc... Woo-hoo

I will write more on my comp cuz I'm on my cellphone now.

Yay! Have a great day everyone! I definetly am having a great one! :) :) :)

Oh one question which was suprising is when he asked me I came here in 2005 and the visa is only valid 6 months so why did I stay so much longer? I was like uuuhhhhhhh..... Lol but it came out good! Yay

hurray MP.... So happy for you, stamp and all. Hope hubby is feeling better.

So we had our interview today.

Our interview was scheduled at 1 PM but we were there at 11:45 AM and the security staff asked us come back at 12:15 PM. We went into the room dropped off our letter at 12:45 PM and were asked to wait until they called our name. There about 6 couples, a few of them had lawyers. A couple who had gone before us came out visibly upset, I wasnt sure what it was about.

While we were waiting, a lawyer came up to the window and asked for an immigration officer, a young Hispanic woman. Apparently, the lawyer had a client who was denied for insufficient evidence of bonafide marriage.

They called our name at 1:45 PM by the same Hispanic woman. She brought us to her cubicle and swore us in. After that, she spent about 5 minutes looking over our file. She asked for birth certificates, IDs, EAD card and SS card. She asked us how we met and why we got married. I started talking and my wife chimed in.

She then asked my wife about my occupation and where I worked. My wife fumbled around the name of my company, but I was able to help her out. She then asked us if were previously married? had children? if we had a traditional wedding ceremony? when my wife entered this country? what college she studied? her major and when she graduated? who we live with? If I commute to work? where my sister lives?

She then asked us for evidence of bonafide marriage. We gave her copies of our statements from our joint bank account, joint car insurance, joint health insurance, receipt of us buying furniture, joint cell phone account and we she went through our photo album of over 200 photos.

She seemed satisfied, leaned over her desk and handed us a paper explaining "removal of conditions". She congratulated us and told us she will be recommending approval of the AOS.

At about 6:15 PM I received a text "Card Production Ordered".

Congrtaz Paulmharrie and Nartaki, my interview twins! :)

Yay!

Yea so this is our story. We had an interview at 9. Well I couldn't sleep till 430... Lol We left at like 720 there was traffic and got there like 815. Went in to the big building, security searched us and we wentt to the office on the same floor and handed out interview letter to the 1st window and they told us 2 sit in section c. Lady came called group of people but they were 8 o clock interviews. Then lady came again and called a group of ppl including us yay! Then the lady told us to get in line and brought us upstairs into another waiting room where thrre were still ppl from the 8 o clock group btw. We were waiting and waiting and waiting and I was freezing cuz I had a halter dress on. We startedd 2 get nervous since they called everyone from our group and some ppl from the 2nd group. But after like an hour there they called us finally!

Some IOs seemed nice and some looked sooo frigin mean like if looks could kill someone there would seriously be dead! The really mean lady came which looked really mean and had like a constipaed look on her face... Haha and I'm like ######... Knowing our luck we get her... But then a Really nice guy came in and called us. Smiling shaking our hands saying hello. He took us in, swore us in, he said don't be nervous you guys, I will ask u some questions personal but won't be so bad. Asked for some documents from both of us, so me bein soo organized instantly gave him what he asked for, proof of citizenship, I'd, pssport.asked me 2 confirm my name adress date of birth, didn't really ask my hubby 2 confirm anything. Asked how we met, when my hubby proposed, do we plan do be together, bout our parents , are we just doing this for the greencard etc etc.. he asked us if we have more proof of bona fide marriage that we wanna give so I gave him all the documents and then he noticed my engagemtn ring (a lot of ppl do, its kinda big and shiny) and he was like ooh that's nice! And I'm like thank you he picked it out all by himself. It was even easier from then on. Said we look very honest but we he is obligated 2 ask these questions bout fraud etc etc 485 questions. Looked through our photo album, chatted bout our philly trip, reccommended a great museum in nyc. And said confratulations u guys r approved. We were so happy! And asked if he could take one more hour of our time, did we eat? and we said offcourse he can take some time. And he said ok he will stamp the passport, for us 2 get smth 2 eat and come back in an hour 2 the window. Explained the greencard should come in 2 months but if it doesnt that we should give him a call and gave us his adress and said that if it comes earlier then great and to send him a thank you card. Wat a great guy! We r actually thinking of sendin him a posecard from the place he said was nice. I wonder if that would be appropriate? Well I wish everyone such a pleasnt interview experince as We had!!!

Congrats to the recently approved ones! I got an email yesterday saying my case has been approved when I got the approval notices days ago. Better late than I suppose. That case status system really doesn't work.
