hello April fillers, here is my feedback from interview.

Please keep in mind that the interview are specific to every couple, so what was true for me will probably not be true for you....

I prepared documents as follow

- Integral copy of the package sent in April

- A folder for identity (birth certificates, wed certificate, original SSN, original correspondence from USCIS

- A folder with Hubby's financial info (last pay stubs and tax)

-a folder for "co(mingling evidence" (bank statements, health and car insurance, title of the cars)

- a folder for travel record (with all the e tickets, boarding pass, baggage receipt i could find for all the travel we did to see each other and together)

-a folder for the email correspondence

-a folder with wedding ceremony stuff (quotes, list of guest, copy of the formal invitations we've sent)

- a folder with the mail correspondence between us and form friends and family

- a photo album with ~75 pics of us since we've met (w/an extra for the first ceremony)

we had the appointment at 10:35am in Santa Ana civic center, California. We've been warned that there is very few free parking so we decided to park in the expensive parking lot...

We got there like 45 minutes early. We were sacred that traffic would be horrible so decided to go early and wait. The security guard we very nice and made jokes , that was very helpful actually. Then we went to the 2nd floor were the proper interview took place.

The big waiting room was packed with people!!! we had to wait for someone being called for interview to get to sit, which was nice because we've waited for 1 hour. around 11:00 am they called our name and we stood and met with our IO. He was courteous, led us to his office and made us sit to start the interview.

Actually it was pretty rough... the way, or tone he used was kind of confusing. Hubby was impressed, I could tell, but he did great. As he was starting asking questions, he remembered he was supposed to make us swear to say the truth, that made us laugh. He kept on asking questions about our intent (did I came with intent to marry him? did he told my parents that wanted to marry me when he came to France? etc...) Apparently my traveling 3 times to america in 2009 raised suspicion, but we just said that we could not stay apart for too long and that the fact that I was unemployed at the time helped me being able to travel.

once we finished on that he went to Hubby's financial file and asked for the new 'co-mingling" evidence we brought. As he was reading the file, he asked the most stupid question ever. He goes: "Sir I see your income, it's a lot.. but I see you guys drive Honda? why don't you buy a Mercedes?" blink.gif (rien a voir avec la choucroute!) Hubby felt stupid and explained he was not a car guy. The other questions on his finances were more conventional...

then he started to type on his computer and said the word "I approve your petition" good.gif

He then printed out 2 papers to my intention:

1st. Talking about the procedure in case i need to travel

2nd with procedure and date to file for removal in.... APRIL 2012! luv.gif

I can not attached the scan because it's too big!

have fun reading, I hope I explained it clearly enough...if not let me know.

SSN besa! woohoo! :star:

Question guys, why do they take your EAD and Advance Parole Document?

So is it advisable to apply SSN when your EAD arrives before your interview so you'll have your SSN earlier?

Thanks hon... that whole EAD issue doesnt apply to everyone cuz ya have to wait a few days AFTER getting the EAD for it to update in SSA's system (at least thats what happened with me so I just ended up applying after GC receipt)

I JUST NEED A STAMP OOOOOOOOOO i bought my ticket already

Oh snap... loving the plans :)

I'd like that too... Do you have a facebook page?

Sounds good to me...

I'll add you (I just sent you a friend request).. You're pretty easy to find. I can find you through besa's page (she added us the same day).

yeah... use me wont u lol

Good Luck on ur interview tomm Noth! Relax u'll do great! :)

Coca cola: yea I applied as soon as I got my EAD cuz u have to wait a week or two 2 get a ss card. So after the interview u wait for ur GC 2 weeks and another 2 weeks for SS card...

So if u need a ss card (if ur in a hurry 2 work or u want 2 get a drivers license) I would apply as soon as u get ur EAD

Less than 2 wks till the interview for me.

But wish me luck tomm, I am having surgery for all 4 wisdom teeth to be taken out. Gulp!! :( I'm scaredd!!

speaking of wisdom teeth, hubby had another consultation yesterday (without me) with the surgeon this time, about his wisdom teeth extraction... he said that he was told that occassionally, ppl feel that numbing effect up to weeks after the procedure and some never recover sensation

NOTH APPROVED!!!!!!!!

I'll post my experience tomorrow, now I'm too exited to write straight!

I wish the same to all april filer still waiting for their interview!!!!
