Alla, getting close babe, we are getting there!!!

I was praying to God that I could get everything together for my past situation. I am so nervous about it, that it makes me wanna However out of the blue I got a BEAUTIFUL email from my ex!!! It is everything I need. He had the BALLS to ask me for a letter in his behalf. He told me what to say and how to say with my name and address on it... DO YOU FREAKING BELIEVE IT!!! I so wanted to kill someone, but I replied back with a hell no, because you did this and said this and that is WHY I divorced you, not for a difference in opinion and good faith so never contact me again or as I said in the past I will take further action. To which he replied, "Thanks a lot, I am not scared of you or any actions. I know your people and what they have for you one day." Needless to say, that lovely letter is in my folder. WHAT AN A$$! I am so glad I can vent to you guys, I would LOSE MY MIND if I could not. I so angry about it, still. It brought up so much "GRRRRR". I am willing to pay for his plane ticket out of this country.

Good Luck on the Interviews!!!

I was at the SS office, applied for a SS card!! Woo-hoo!!

My advice go early, we were supposed 2 go at 7 but overslept got then at 9. The line was like 1\3 full, by 10 when we were leaving that place was soooo compleltly packed! I got a recipt and they said I should get it within 2 wks, and they always tell u the maximum so I'm hoping it will be like a week like felipe23 did.I will look through documents make sure. I have everything, interview in 2 weeks 3 days! Yay! it all seems so close and great!

Ohhh also friday; I'm gettin all 4 wisdom teeth taken out. I wanted 2 make sure I'm all healed for the interview. I'm scared of the wisdom teeth, they r putting me 2 sleep and everything. and then only soft foods till all the stuff heal. Ouchie!!! :(

I have a problem. I have my interview on Monday, I got all the required documents except we can't find wife's 2009 w2. We sent a copy with AOS, but the original is missing. We are still looking but just in case we can't find it what then?

Don't be surprised if you see your original application packet in front of the immigration officer lol! I did not have time to get the original copy of the taxes filed by my sponsor but all the immigration officer took from me was my passport even though I photo-copied up to 0.75" inch of documents for the interview!

Sorry been MIA for the last three days. Was out celebrating and getting things done lol.. but my green card was approved! My interview experience is very different from all of you (almost all I would say). I was filed as under 21 family sponsor (Category 2A). Here is how it went:

Arrived at 1:50 p.m. as I had to wait for my Mum (she sponsored me) and my sister (co-sponsor) and they were a little late. I had to drag both of them along because I wasn't sure if I was still a minor even though I filed as under 21 but I turned 21 last November. Went through security check and it beeped on me!!! Also should have left my iPhone, mp3, jumpdrive, iPhone battery charger; etc in the car and they took a minute to go through all the stuff in my bag =P Then went to second floor to the waiting room. There were quite a number of people (roughly 20 but many brought their family along). Waited for 45 minutes until I was called in by the IO. I went alone while my mum and sister stayed outside.

The IO apologized for the wait because he asked one of the guys from yesterday to come back and that wasted 30 minutes of his time. First question was whether my mum is a citizen or permanent resident and then I passed him my passport. Next are basic information on the first page of the Form I-485 (name, DOB, SSN, address, status; etc) and then the yes/no questions in the Form I-485. The next 10 minutes was silent! He kept taking out his notes and manuals from the drawers and his shirt pocket. I knew that he was calculating my age because I am over 21 now but not 22 yet. Every three minutes, he told me to sit tight and do nothing. I could see all of my original application package in front of me and he went through all that and wrote notes here and there.

After 10 minutes, he said: Congratulations, I approved your visa. At that point I was hoping that he was referring to the green card!! Then he stamped, finished up his notes on the form and computer for another 1 minute, verified the port of last entry and told me the green card should arrive in 10 - 16 days. And then he took my I-94 and that was that! He wasn't sure about the replacing the SSN.

So I left with the 0.75" documents that I photocopied (two copies of everything, thinking that he might want a copy) and all that he needed was the passport and I-94!

Got an e-mail three hours later about approval and card production ordered today!

Good luck to everyone and I'm glad I found this bulletin. Thank you for all your help! I'll still check back until I received the golden card heheh.. Now, time to fulfill a big shopping list! I can finally visit Malaysia after 5 years!!

I got APPROVED! My interview was at 11:00 am. We got there around 10:45, went through the security. The guards found a scissor in Nana's purse. They asked her why she had it, she told them it for cutting coupons. She flirted with the old guards and was able to take the scissor with her. We waited till probably 11:25 for our names to be called. The interview itself lasted less than 10 minutes. All she asked for my was passport and documents showing joint assets and liabilities. That was it.

She told me I would get my green card in about 2 weeks. All that paperwork and anxiety for a 10 minute interview. Glad it's finally over.

Congrats to those approved. My interview is on Thursday, just putting the finishing touches to my photo albums, which they probably won't look at since it cost me a fortune!
