I'd like to put my 2 cents in: I think that ya have to wait at least a day or two AFTER ya get the EAD before they can issue u a temporary CARD until ya can get the Permanent card (same social security number)... Thats proly why it needs to be verified as thats the case with DE.

I go by the day you receive your card production from USCIS. It's weird with you, everyone else got the update from USCIS the same day.....

I never received any kind of notifications from USCIS other than the initial application acceptance. It's weird. Everyone seems to got notifications before they got their EAD.

My husband, my husband, my husband... So, I was looking over all my husband's official docs and noticed an error on his drivers license. We live in apt # 2 and his drivers license says apt #3. Actually our building only has 2 apartments; the owner's and ours. I'm stressing out A LOT about this cause I know they are going to ask for his license. I don't understand how he didn't notice this himself!?!?!

did you set up an account online and then asked to receive email or text message notifications? if you did then it weird...i f you didn't, then it's normal!

You can still go and set an account online on the USCIS web site (you will need the MSC # to do so) and ask for updates from there.

That is kinda odd. Can u check and double-check to make sure the email address and phone number on the account are correct? Also, make sure where it says mobile and email alert, they reflect Y (yes)...

Yea just checked. Everything is good. Oh well does not really matter. Got my EAD, interview on Monday. It's almost over for now.

i have the feeling that sometimes their system just don't work!! For example, i sent 3 copies of the G-whatever form to receive emails updates, and i never received one until I signed up on their web site....you signed up to their web site and never got any up date, and you're not the first ....

But as you said, the most important is the regular mail correspondence, and in your case, you'll be over with very soon! good luck for the interview!

Just a FYI, not sure if this is the same for all states but in Texas you can change the address online. Might be faster than going there or calling. It costs $10 here to do that.

I received something weird today. It's called Registration acknowledgment from the selective service system. It's mentioning my SSN name address and date of birth. and something called selective service number. I don't know what is this or what is the value of this document?!!

I do appreciate any explaination. :)

Oh yeah I found now what is this after searching online. It's a mandatory thing for all males between 18-26 years old to get registered. They say it may help when applying for school or gov jobs. And as today is my 25th birthday so this paper is right. I thought first it is my GC but :S not yet :) I hope I get it soon. Just to feel relieved and everything is done with for a little while.

I just don't want any implication of this selective service during the coming year. ;)
