Noth, I don't mind your mistakes. I can't stand your attitude. It's impossible to ask u a question without u answering it with frustration. Even before I wished u the best and u got all upset that I'm so stupid and can't understand how tough ur situation is.Everyone is upset but nobody is getting it on each other.

And it's not the matter of leaving the thread, it's about supporting and helping each other. And there is no temporary social that u r suggesting MP to get.

Actually this information is not true hon. Once ya get your EAD and go to the SSA, they will issue you a temporary SSC that says "Valid for work ONLY" until you get the actual GC to take back for a unrestricted SSN/SSC... Just found that out today when I called the head office so Im headed over there now.

Document production or Oath Ceremony for I-485 AGAIN

Hey guys,

Had our interview yesterday, just want to share the experience with you guys...

Interview time-10:50 am

Got in the building at 10:30, went through the security check, handed in the interview letter, and were called in by a nice lady officer at 10:50, exactly the time was scheduled....

She took us to her office, and introduced her self, asked us to have a seat, then started doing the oath. I asked her if we needed to stand up, she said no.

So she started asking our IDs, my passport and I-94.

She went through the I-485 form, asked my full name, then turned to my wife by asking when my birthday is.

Then all the yes/no questions on I-485.....(Funny thing when she asked "HAVE U EVER DONE THE FOLLOWING" i answered no right after the "FOLLOWING"..LOL She was looking at me like-dude, i didn;t aks u the question yet...lol)

Then she started asking my wife about I-130,"whats her full name, other names used before", wife told her other name used before, cause last name was changed when she was adopted; and asked me when her birthday is.

Asked my wife "who is XXXXX" (my joint sponsor)

Asked how i met my sponsor; if my wife had met him; if my sponsor comes to FL often (cause he lives in LA)

She was checking my medical doctor's name on the system for a while, but could not find it, so asked me where i found this doctor. I told her that on the uscis website.

Then....How you guys met? She was told that we only met last Oct.

Then she asked what the rush is to get married in a short time.

She asked to see some evidences which show we live together.

We gave her a photo album, utility bill, cell phone bill(online statement), GEICO car insurance for both cars under both names & joint bank statements(one in mail and the rest were printed by myself).

She looked through our pics, asked who the lady is in our wedding ceremony; and asked my wife if her parents attended. Wife told her "NO".

Then the questions started...I was getting nervous.

She asked my wife "how come your parents did not come to your wedding"

"Are they aware of your marriage"....wife said "No, cause i am not close to my family"

she turned to me"Have you ever met her family".....i told her"No"

then aksed my wife again"when did u speak to your parents last time" & "are you going to tell them that you are married"

Asked my wife if she ever met my parents, wife said not yet, but she had spoken to my mom and my mom doesn't speak good English(#######, my mom DOESN'T speak english, only said HELLO and MY NAME IS.... to my wife on the phone.,....lol)

And we told her that we are planning to visit my parents in Sep or Oct, and they are arranging a big reception for us there...

More questions to me now...

"Did u change your status to F-1 student?" I told her yes and gave her the approval notice from last year.

"Are you still going to school now?" No mam, stopped going to school in May.

Then she found the doctor's name in the system, and took some documents with her for some photocopies.

She came back to the office after a few min, and said to my wife "I am going to approve your I-130 petition". (I was like, what about mine??????)

And she turned to me said "And I am going to approve your I-485 adjustment to permanent resident TOO." (God, finally!)

Then she explained that the card will be sent in mail, and i was expected to get in 2 weeks; But it only valid for 2 years, in one year 9 months, i need to apply for removing the conditions; and i would be eligible to apply the naturalization in 3 years from now.

She only took my original I-94, which when i entered to US. not the one i changed my status last year. I offered her to take it, she said the other one worked.

She asked"any questions?"

I said "yes mam, can i get my passport stamped?"

"We don;t do it now, since you will get your card in about 2 weeks" answered by her.

"I am planning to take my wife on a cruise for her birthday, and its in 3weeks"

"You can make a infopass if you don;t get your card in time, and get your passport stamped; just bring your tickets as evidence" she said.

"OK, thank you" we told her.

Then she walked us out of her office, and wished us Good Luck!

When we walked out to the waiting room, there were lots of people smiling at us, I guess we appeared happy!

Got to our car, found out the time-11:18am

Well we got married after a year of knowing each other, well 1 day after the anniversary of 1st date. But my husband proposed in December and we got married a month later which they may ask why it was so fast. Well for one thing, i thought it would be a nice romantic date 2 remember, 1 day after one year anniversary and two my mom is kinda old fashioned and didnt like that we were living together without being married. and i think that is a valid point.

And we have been together for like a year and a half now. Before i met my husband I would have never thought I would marry so young (i thought i was gonna be like close to 30 and not 23) and not after only a year but its true, when u meet that person it all changes and you just click and know. It sounds kinda cliche and sappy but its totally true! :) :) :) :)

I would still back it up with a more concrete reason for the USCIS people though, like my mom in my case, or like u said the faith. The uscis ppl dont seem to be all gooey mushy lovey dovey, lol

I agree about Life is 2 short to waste time!!

Its like u go to work to make money to survive and pay ur bills, but for me the past part is when we both come home and we get to spend time together and laugh and joke.

I start to miss my husband after a couple of hrs when he leaved for work, my mom says we are like teenagers lol

I know they are going to ask us why we got married during my spring break and not after graduation. My wife says she will just tell them because she wanted to get married and did not want to wait. It's a good thing we got married that time. Imagine if it was after graduation, how long I would have had to wait to get the EAD and actually work.

Anyways. Anyone have any luck finding a job especially those who just graduated? I have been looking everywhere. Nada. It is so frustrating, everyone asks for experience. Never going to get any experience if I can't find my first job. I could have got the job I interviewed for 2 months ago, but didn't have EAD then. Now that I do, I can't find any.

Hello everybody,

here is the scan of the document SSA gave me 2 days after I applied. The name of it is a Social Security Printout, and can be asked at your SSA between when you apply for SSN+2days and when you receive the actual card. The SSN is a unique number as the number on the card I received is the same as in the printout (that is why I blacked my SSN and family name)

I hope you'll be able to ask for one if you need to work right away. It would be so unfair that SSA don't apply the same rules in every states!

Hope I was clear enought and that it will help some of you!good.gif
