Anyone got their SSN number yet? I wish I'd waited until after my interview to be honest. I can't apply for any jobs without an SSN so I called the offices to see how long it's gonna take. They said it could take 3 more weeks as they have to 'verify' my documents with DHS. Whatever the hell that means. Cause y'know, I sat there and made my own EAD with my bare hands!!!! ARGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I can getting annoyed because we can't live on my husbands salary forever, things are tight and I want a job. I've not worked for 6 months and it's driving me crazy. When I went to apply they looked at me like I was a piece of #######. And the woman I spoke to on the phone was rude and I was told I'd just have to be patient. All I want to do is become a functioning member of society and pay my taxes yet I was treated like all of the other bums that have been on SS benefits all their lives!

Jeez, that was a rant. But I'm getting so frustrated.

Sorry about your situation. You waited 6 months ... wait a lil bit longer. It's all coming your way.

There are a lot fake documents around. And they made it very strictly about all this process. They verify every single number with each other. It all takes time. Even when I was hired I had to wait 2 days till they verify my employment and background with DHS.

Thanks Alla. Some days I feel like I'm going to explode! I know it's all for the greater good and all that, I'll just wait patiently... :)

Gonna carry on getting my documents together for the interview.

lol yea but how would she know that he got it wrong? if she doesn't ask the same things You then how would she know its wrong? I guess its all bout looking cool and confident?

I guess, maybe they can read ur face and movements if ur telling the truth or not? but then again I dont know if every USCIS offices is a trainer psychitrist thats knows how to read people.

And yea, i think is sux they dont tell you if u r approved or not.. I mean if u were approved cant they just say so? is that one sentence gonna make things much longer or smth? Or once You leave do they go over ur documents again and make a decision? wat a stupid system..

I bet u r glad u have it over with!!! :) :) :) :)

ENJOY HUNNY!!

Again major props on remembering all the questions!! Good memory and great concentration! :)

ohhh: when they take ur i-94 means ur approved? I think they take everyone's and then send u papers anyway if they need more evidence or smth

No, unfortunately, they dont take everyone's, there have been a situation where a lady was approved but the IO forgot to take the I-94.

I didnt really include statements she made in reference to things like receipts and the joint accounts we have cuz, she wasnt really asking, it was more like, "I see you guys have a joint account together" and I repeated that we have two, then she asked when I added him to mine or something like that, since she thought it was one account but its two with BOA. I explained to her the difference in account name (mines a Phi Theta Kappa Campus Edge account and his is a regular Campus Edge). And so she asked cuz she wanted to clarify her mistake.

As far as the College Major is concerned, I was a lil upset cuz if he forgot then thats what he should have said  cuz she could easily look at my current I-20 to see it  lol

Some IOs cant make the final decision and HAVE to have the supervisor look it over before telling you if ur approved or not. Its a weird system, like u said

Besaaa Congratssss!!!

And WOW. the IO did give you a series of questions there. It seems the IO prepared it before your interview. Its like a questionnaire. Hehe.

Well glad its done. CONGRATSSS!!! Im so happy for you. :star:

Yeah, she killed it (if I were to judge her technique) cuz it'd be easy for a (fraud or non-fraud) couple to mess up with her... It was CRAZY lol

i have a question

if they approve you but dont stamp the passport can you use the form 131 travel with and have your green card sent to you?

im freaking out bout the stamp

Yup, u can use ur I-131 til ya get the GC... Ur good :)

LOL! WOW! BESA, that's really a WHOLE LOTS OF QUESTIONS! WOW!

But nevertheless, you AOS is APPROVED and that what matters!:dance::dance:

And what movie you both watched together!? Grr, i'm gonna drag my hubby to watch Twilight "Eclipse" and if our IIO ever ask my hubby, he will definitely remember! HAHAHA

It was Prince of Persia, then she asked what kind of movie it was? Action/Drama (told her how it was made from a video game that hubby loves but I dont play). Then that led to the "what we have in common thing"... She seemed to let the questions flow out of curiousity rather than cuz she has to ask this or that...

Besa congrats hun! So happy for you!!!

The questions were CRAZY, seriously!! My husband has NO idea what my mom's address is, actually he doesn't even know his own mother's age (lol).

Enjoy your vacay besa. The trends continues... Approval at the interview. YES!!!!!!:dance:

Thank ya mami... Girl, its been crazy busy lol... I dont know his mom's address per se (she aint my fave  ) But I know its brown st, Wilmington DE. As long as you know the city and town, you'll be fine. Then ya might wanna know what the parents do for a living (generally speaking) and the month/year or month/day of the MIL and FIL.

I also expect to be separated, but it is in the best case of scenario. In the worst we will have a second interview. I don't know why but I'm getting ready for the 1hr interview or to be called for the second. :bonk:

I'm not worried about questions and interrogations, I worry about starting crying right away if IO will be mean...

You'll do great mami... Dont sweat, fret or worry too much. Try to be nice, smiling and charming but NEVER let them see up upset or worried

Thank you Nova for kind words... Let's hope so! I prepared today all folders and documents. I think it will look ridiculous if I will carry all stuff in walmart bags...neither victoria's secret bag  I need to figure smth.

for airfair, we paid around $800/person

then we stayed in a very nice and fancy place, so it was pricy, but I'm sure you can spend a week in a nice resort for another $1000.

the internet will help you more than me to figure that out!

It's a lot of money but it sooooo worth it!!!! GO TO HAWAII!luv.gif

Being serious:

Why don't you explain the officer everything, I don't think they are so cold blooded. Also if you will be approved on spot you can leave that day. And ask your hubby to send you GC to your father's adress, so you can enter US. They don't check it when you leave, only when you enter. Stay strong!
