CR-2

Checked the pay fees site and it is showing paid got my receipt and cover sheet. Now what's wrong with that? I wonder because we sent the DS-3032 and OPTIN letter maybe 2 weeks ago and our case# has not been changed to GZO yet. If I send the AOS packet with the cover that has the GUZ case# will this cause us a delay when it is changed to GZO?

Nothing is wrong with that

Most are parallel processes at NVC.

Conversion to GZO casefile is parallel process

Payment is parallel process

Sending things IN is tied to payment portal process, but for GUZ casefiles, is easier to WAIT for the conversion prior to sending anything in. You can still pay on the GUZ casefile #, but wait for the conversion to GZO prior to SENDING anything in.

If it's been more than 11 days between sending in the OPT IN email to TODAY (whatever today is) then send in another email to NVCElectronic@state.gov - and make query for status in that email.

If you recently paid the AOS fee, on the GUZ casefile # - wait a bit - the payment portal , at some point, will have the IV fee bill ready in a few days.

Here's some comments I made via email to another GUZ-bound petitioner -

I appreciate all your help (+ Wiki) so far. I have a question in regards to your Wiki and the process i am currently in right now. Based on your Wiki, the process must be PUSHED by me and no waiting except for payment portal status. Currently, I've done the following:

1. Received DS-3032 kit via email

2. Sent in proper DS-3032 to OPTIN at NVCElectronic@state.gov

3. Pay the AOS fee of $70 and waiting for status to change to "PAID".

So assuming #3 is completed and status is "PAID". My OPTIN of course has not been enrolled yet because it may take a couple weeks. So right when my status say "PAID", I should be sending my Affidiavit of Support immediately correct (even though OPTIN hasn't been enrolled)? Do I send the AOS to "NVCElectronic@state.gov" as well with a certain subject line? I am sure we don't send this in via US Postal Services correct? I am just unsure if OPTIN uses a different email address and that "NVCElectronic@state.gov" is only used for initial OPTIN purposes. Just verifying with you. Thanks!

coupla comments -

1. I suggest you wait to send anything, until you have the casefile converted from GUZ # to GZO # . There's a coupla ways to know about this -

--payment portal login doesn't work any more on the GUZ casefile number login or

--you receive email about the new casefile number

--you've called the NVC Hotline, can't find the GUZ casefile number any more on the AVR system.

2. monitor payment portal - pay things as they come in, print the receipt notices and coversheets to pdf output file.

3. use NVCElectronic@state.gov for all email sending. It used to be NVCGuangzhou@state.gov, but that's changed, and - never, ever use NVCInquiry@state.gov for anything.

4. If you have experienced any lag during NVC Electronic Processing, send off seperate email to NVCElectronic@state.gov - with inquiry for case status. It's a bit problematic for March, as something has changed up with the system - it's bogged down considerably, things take more time.

Remember - what you are trying to overcome here, is that 2 to 4 month 'lag time' from 'NVC OUT' to 'GUZ IN' .

Good Luck !

I dunno, HornToad - a Canadien EP filer got some speed this week.

You should monitor the payment portal AND send off a query email to NVCElectronic email address.

Good Luck !

FWIW, NVC has slowed down, considerably. It started in March, and has crept over into April.

Grrr.
