So in abundance of caution, I snuck out of the office early today and tried to get my

1-134 notarized. The kind man there told me I was crazy and

that he is not allowed by law to put his stamp on any immigration docs that do not

have a space for him to sign.

So just sending it in without....... Hope it's ok??

Notary is not needed.

There is no law against him notarizing a signature on anything...even a cocktail napkin. He can put his noatary stamp anywhere on the document. That said, it is not needed.

Jusat another note on the matter

"An abundance of caution" gets you nothing. Providing what is required gets you a visa. Providing 400 tons of unnecessary BS and leaving out ONE required document will get you denied. While there is no penalty for doing unnecessary things (and no penalty for notarizing a document that doesn't need to be notarized) do not do so in lieu of things you need to do.

The Moscow Embassy website clearly states that the I-134 is not needed AND it clearly states that the I-134 must be notarized. Clear as mud.

Know that the consulates can impose their own rules regardless of what USCIS says.

That being said many have gone through Moscow with notarization.

Not true... The HCMC consulate often requires a notarized timeline of relationship... or notarized affidavits from former spouses about current domicile. notarized documents are required at other consulates from time to time as well...

From the Moscow embassy:

Financial documents from the petitioner – a US citizen: please note, that Affidavit of Support (form I-134) is not required, but may be requested. The document must be notarized.

http://moscow.usembassy.gov/fiancee.html

And let me tell you: just because they say it's not required doesn't mean they're not going to ask for it. And yes, it *must* be notarized.

Your notary is an idiot. Find another one. But get it notarized.

OMG GTFO of our forum you!!!! :P

Nice to see you pop in, brother hehe

To the OP. Get it notarized. Moscow is all whiny and b!tchy about particulars.

I know Kiev doesn't require a notary. Hell, they don't even "require" I-134, but we all know how it goes. I'm going to try and get mine notarized tomorrow

Your notary sounds like a ####.

And mox, your new pic reminds me of my ex-girlfriend. Not only does that chick look like her, but she was in that position more than once as well. Very interesting girl, to say the least. (There's a reason she's my "ex" girlfriend. Like I told my little brother - she's the girl you wanna take home... just not the girl you wanna take home to meet mom.)

Well that's not me either so I guess she's pretty universal in her "treatment."

Given all the whinging from certain members, I just thought it was finally time to post a pic of the missus. Not sure who the guy is though.

Can't you do anything but post pictures of your hawt wife? I mean, really, do we want to see what goes on in your bedroom...or your neighbors, or whoever the dude is spanking the Mox Bride?

Kinda tired of having Mrs. Mox strutted about in front of us. No shame?

I'll get over it, at the end of the day, as with every day, I will be sleeping naked with Alla tonight and nothing much bothers me, I tend to forget all about it.
