Ok,I'm still filling out the G-325A form and for the 'Place of Marriage' and 'Place of Termination of Marriage' my fiancee gave me the following information in Ukrainian:

Відділ реєстрації актів цивільного стану Києво-Святошинського районного управління юстиції Київської області

On Google Translation that translates to:

Department of civil registration Kyiv Kiev district of Kiev region of Justice

That is a looooong name for a place! Perhaps someone familiar with Ukraine knows this place and if so, is there a shorter name?

Any help will be appreciated!

For mine, for place of marriage I put city and state like

Detroit, Michigan

And for termination of marriage I put the county that had jurisdiction such as

Orlando County, Florida

So I think in your case they will accept city and country or city and state which contains Kiev. Kiev might be its own district as is the case with most world capitals.

I am sure Kiev, Ukraine will be satisfactory.

They are not looking for the name of the Region of Just or Civil Jurisdiction building names. I did not put County Courthouse in Detroit, Michigan. I only listed Detroit, Michigan.

Thank you both kindly. At the risk of sounding stupid, can I simply put "Kiev, UA"? There isn't room to write both the date and "Kiev, Ukraine"

The same applies to other questions. Can I abbreviate UA for Ukraine? I assume yes, but I don't want to risk a denied petition without confirming first!

Is UA a standard or accepted abbreviation for Ukraine. I certainly did not know that. If so, Kiev, UA is OK. Personally I think "Kiev" is sufficient or "Kiev, Ukr."

If I had just put Detroit instead of Detroit Michigan, I believe USCIS would have accepted that as well.

UA is an official abbreviation.

To the OP: As others have said - Kiev (or Kyiv), Ukraine would be just fine.
