Bank letter

Hey all,

I have a quick question today. If you have dealt with the Ghanaian consulate please help. I am trying to get some of my documentation done soon. The letter from our bank needs to state the amount we have deposited in the last calander year and how long we have had our account, right? It also needs to be a certified copy, is there anything I am missing?

Thanks,

Nik

Hi Nik,

I am sorry that I dont have any really good advice to give you about the bank statements required from the Ghana Embassy..We has just been approved and are trying to find out this sort of information. My husband is having some of his friend and family back home since he is out Ghana find out all this information and I will be sure to share whatever I find out with you..I hope you will do the same! Good luck on your visa journey and its nice to come across another couple who is going thru the Ghanaian Embassy since there are not many of us that are in this stage of the visa!! :)

Well, I'm not sure what stage of the process you are in, but if you are talking about the affidavit of support, then the form itself has all the instructions you need. The letter needs what you have stated, mine also had the average amount in the account over the past year and the current balance. You also need recent bank statements (at least six months).

I am on the verge of getting my NOA2. (note my confidence :D )

I bank at a large institution and as it turns out, correctly guessed it would take me about 2 months to get the information I needed. I decided to start a little early.

Do the bank statements need to be notorized? I know the letter from the bank and the I-134 do.

Thanks for your assistance

Nik

Looking at your time line, I notice it took six months for the approval to come from the consulate. Was that supper fast or about normal?
