Greetings,

I recently made an affidavit of support processing fee ($400, March 1).

I haven't heard anything back from NVC since then so I called NVC yesterday. According to the automated response, they said I should receive a packet from them. I have also e-mailed them and received the following information.

_____________

According to our records, your Affidavit of Support Processing Fee

payment was made on-line through the Department of State's website:

www.ImmigrantVisas.State.Gov, Fee Collection. You must now download and

complete the appropriate Affidavit of Support form and mail it to the

NVC in order to complete your immigrant visa processing.

Please visit the Department of State's website above to download a copy

of the I-864, I-864EZ, I-864A, orI-864W and/or the instructions.

According to our records, your Immigrant Visa Processing Fee payment was

made on-line through the Department of State's website:

www.ImmigrantVisas.State.Gov, Fee Collection. You must now download and

complete the Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230) form and mail it to the

NVC in order to complete your immigrant visa processing.

___________

So should I be waiting for the packet or should I fill out and send the aforementioned documents? Thanks.

Log on to the NVC website and print out the Coversheet for the Immigrant Visa Application Packet.

Get the Beneficiary to fill-out the DS-230 and gather the required documents.

Submit them with the Coversheet per the instructions.

Thanks. So why would the automated message from the NVC state that I should wait to receive a packet? I haven't received anything since paying $400.00.

Do not listen to anything they tell you.

If you have the barcoded cover sheet print it out and send it in.

Should I send in the cover sheet along with the I864 forms? It says on the travel.state.gov page the following..

When your bill says PAID, print the coversheet, put that ontop of your package and send it in.

Hop on over to the April 2010 NVC thread, ya?

Remember the $70 bill is for the AOS.

$400 for the Immigrant Visa.

Make sure you use the right barcoded cover sheet for the respective packets.

I still don't get it. According to the i-864ez pdf document, it states that I should send in the packet when it is mailed to me.

So most of you are saying that I should mail in the i-864ez form along with the document cover sheets before receiving the packet from NVC?

YES! Dont wait for them to send anything. *my case was complete yesterday and so far, the last thing I received "packet" wise from the NVC was the DS3032. Cover sheet is all that's needed.

The only thing I've received from NVC is a barcoded sheet AFTER my case completed. Go figure.

If you want to wait, however, be my guest. Might be 2-3 months before you see anything in your mail.
