He just did biometrics on March 17th...so ead and ss number are still a few weeks away. Looks like greencard could come before EAD blink.gif It's insane to have this AOS interview so quick. Chicago office must be all caught up and ready for us.

My landlord just told me he won't add him to the lease until it is time to resign huh.gif

It's gonna be ok inshallah. I have faith to move a mountain.

Most federal banks will allow someone waiting for a ss # to have an account as long as they file a W8 ben saying their TIN is applied for. There is a 60 day exemption and as long as he gets it to the bank before that period the account stays open.

TCF closed your account because it layed dormant for several months. Sorry. If you were interested in keeping it open its not that hard to do, neither is getting an account with your husbands and your name on it

AOS interview is in 2 weeks and we need some kind of proof we live together.....my current bank won't add Ibrahim because of the Patriot Act. So I am scrambling to find a bank that will let me have my hubby on my account.

Can't even get a darn library card without a picture ID that includes an address. Hmmm..what can I get for proof? I'm getting a little nervous about this upcoming interview.

eta: TCF closed my account ohmy.gif I was $1.66 in the negative and they canceled me ....weeps tears. They said they would have added him with a pending SS number but now I am closed wacko.gif Can anything else go wrong today?

Hey there! Try your car insurance company. I use Geico and they actually have put my husband's name on my policy just by virtue of the fact that we are married. I told them he wasn't here yet and that we're waiting on immigration but they still keep his name on it. Also, do you own your car? Can you add his name to the title? How about any documentation for benefits from work. Name him as beneficiary...just some ideas to add to the others. Good luck!

I didn't have extra money to put in that account :( Then when they put the $9.95 monthly fee on-- I didn't have it in there to cover it.

Can't get an itin number cuz you have to send in your passport to get it and he needs the passport at the interview.

I'm beginning to think we're screwed. No to adding him to the car insurance. No to adding him to the title of the car, Nissan has ahold of all that.

I guess I will use a creative photo pictorial to show our first 2 months of being back together. I have the ticket stubs from our first movie together good.gif I have a picture of 'I & J' that he drew in the ketchup when he made me dinner blush.gif

Do you own your own home or rent? If you rent, why not have your husband added to your lease? When my husband and I had our AOS interview a few years back the only "proofs" we had were photos of us together and with his family and my family, our lease with both our names on it and our phone bill showing a family share plan. We didn't have a joint bank account(still don't and we've been married nearly 5yrs), he wasn't on any car titles, wasn't on any car insurance, etc. We had no problems and our AOS was approved and GC issued within 2 weeks. Good luck to you.

"The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.
