The economy tanked and Obama and crew have done a miserable job so there's little to slash or burn with high unemployment for the foreseeable future, failure on dealing the housing sector, a runaway deficit, a failed stimilus package but at least we'll eventually have a European style healthcare system in the end and the price tag to boot.

Obama must run on his track record not hope and change so he's screwed if all his party can talk about is the GOP=the Nazi party- that's not smart. People have never voted out all the incumbents and they win 90% of the time; however, most of the incumbents are Democrats so they will take a beating unless a miracle happens.

I've asked it before but I'll try again. Which sectors of the economy do you expect to lead us out of the recession? Supposedly, we are already in a recovery but most people just don't see it.

You say they have done a miserable job? On the basis of what? Nothing but more mindless Right-Speak. The problems with the economy may be beyond either party to fix, but the death spiral seems to have stopped at least for the moment.

I don't think the GOP are the equivalent of the Nazi's. The Nazi's were good at gaining and maintaining control over their country. I do believe their tactics are empowering and emboldening nuttier individuals and groups who buy into the GOP talking points and tactics. I don't buy that the Tea Party is separate and grass roots from over all GOP strategy, nor do I think they are all racist, but I don't believe they are not part of the larger Right Wing whole.
