Wasn't last week that they were doing some website updates? Maybe it was a bug. Of course, it is always better to check and make sure, but this is my guess.

Hey all you april filers, a little help since most of you have had experienced more of this process by now,

our interview is on aug 11 any advice on what we should be collecting to take to it right now? does anyone have a nice simple list of documents that are good to take with us. Also, will we have to fill out a new affidavit of support to take to the interview or the copy of the one we sent with the AOS should be sufficient? Not much has changed for us in that since my husband still has no EAD.

Another concern i have is that we have no bills together since we live with my parents right now....once my husband gets proper work authorization he can work and we can get our own place. Besides a notarized letter from my parents stating we live at their house, what other documents can we give to show proof? Even his cell phone is prepaid so theres no bill and Tmobile didnt let me add his name to my bill because he has no credit history. I feel we may not have much documents to show will that be a problem?

any advice, suggestions etc will be helpful! thanks in advance

Thanks, by the way how are you liking Oklahoma?

I am finding it a very nice place! People are generally very polite, things are calm, they have hundreds of food and store options, and it snows in December :)

The heat right now is scary, feels hotter then back at south of Brazil (which is the colder part of Brazil, but still hot). Overall, I like here very much! If depends on me, I'll never move anywhere bigger or more agitated the here.

Thanks, Angel,

The SSN has been applied for and she is looking at job possibilities.

The toughest hurdle in the next month will be to have her pass the NY State

driving test, as she drove on the correct side of the road (left) back in Thailand

and now she has to get used to the wrong (right) side of the road.

She may be able to get jobs without having a car, but being able to drive

will expand her possibilities.

She drove a clutch over there and now she has to remember to

use the right foot only for both brake & gas.

Also the directionals are on the left here, she ends up washing the

windows when she wants to turn.

I know what u mean... In JA we drive on the left. SO far, I havent driven this year but hubby'd let me drive to and from his mom's house a few time throughout our relationship. And yeah, the driver's test lol. I failed it by a question or two (Suckz) but we're debating if I should do it again cuz im not on his auto insurance.

There are a few jobs she can get while studying for the test. I now work at pizza hut and although it aint the greatest, I get GREAT tips  She could also consider clothing stores and entry level jobs. All the best to you guys.

Hello my dear fellas!! Have been gone for a bit :).

Finally after waiting and suffering we got the interview yesterday August 11th. They did sent the date we asked!!

Review:

Appointment was at 7:50 AM

We got there at 7:30 AM

Both of us with flu :(

My husband was carrying a big red box with all our Valentine's cards, wedding favors, wedding invitations, birthday's cards, anniversary, and tons of pictures.

I carried 7 folders with USCIS documents, Bills separates in two carpets for both addresses we lived together, Hospital documents from my previous pregnancy (we lost the baby), Documents from both of our last directions together, Taxes and paychecks and Gifts receipts.

She called us at 9:30 AM

She laughed when she saw my husband with the box.

We swore.

She started to look at her USCIS file of us.

She didn't ask any relationship questions!

Asked for pictures, bills, paychecks, hospital and that was all.

She open our albums and say "very nice" for our wedding pictures.

Told us "you will get your GC in 10 or 15 days, I have to tell you it will take 30 days because is the law but will arrive soon"

My husband ask her to seal my passport as we are leaving on the 17th. She asked for my plane ticket and we told her we don't have it as we were expecting the interview result. So she said "I get a lot of people but for some reason I know I will remember you :), go buy your ticket and come back with it, I will seal your passport :)"

She explain that in two years I need to send everything I have for my permanent residence.

We said THANK YOU and that was all!!

She did not say "Welcome to America" :)

When we left my husband remembered that she was the same woman that changed our first interview date.

I got my email for card processing today at 6 AM.

Thank you guys for all the support and I wish everyone best of luck!!!
