November 6, 2009 - Interview in Montreal - Approved!

February 15, 2010 - POE Thousand Islands

March 27, 2010 - Wedding!

AOS

April 17, 2010 - I-485, I-765, I-131 sent to Chicago Lockbox

April 26, 2010 - Received NOAs for I-485, I-765, I-131

May 13, 2010 - Transferred to the CSC

May 19, 2010 - Biometrics appointment

June 17th, 18th, 22nd, 23rd & 30th - touches on I-485

June 25th, 2010 - E-mail: EAD approved

June 30th, 2010 - 2nd E-mail for EAD

July 1st, 2010 - Email: RFE being sent for AOS

July 2nd, 2010 - AP received in the mail

July 6th, 2010 - EAD received in the mail

July 8th, 2010 - Received RFE in the mail. They have no record of my medical!

July 12th, 2010 - RFE (new medical) sent back via Express mail

July 21st, 2010 - Welcome Letter (dated July 15th) received by mail and e-mail received stating GC approved

July 23rd, 2010 - GC received in the mail

Yay besa! I finally got my SSN name change processed which means I can get my driver's license tonight! Can 't wait!

Way to go :dance::dance:

Be careful out there. They told me there's a "3 strikes" policy with the SSA where if an application is

rejected 3 times, you have to wait "until next year" to reapply.

Dorothy: "You mean if I click my ruby slippers 3 times I can be home in Kansas?"

Well it turns out that they "forgot" to tell me a few things but thank God I got it Thursday...

Funny when ya go to the office and tell 'em that ya here for SSN verification and the person at the window ask you for the very SSN that you are here to pick up :blink:

Why did they tell you to come back tomorrow? You should tell them to send in an electronic verification that comes back in a week. It's the second step in green card verification if the first one doesn't work. Do request that, because most of them I think go straight to third step, which is mailing of the application and that takes a month.

She "forgot" to tell me about the time for verification with the EAD (2 weeks) vs that of the GC (overnight)... So when they told me to come back and bring the GC, noone said I still gotta wait and pick it up the next day so thats what happened...

Woke up to a nice surprise - an email from USCIS saying my AOS application has been approved and card production ordered!

Email was timed 10:18 PM EDT so they must have been working late in California last night! Ironically I usually check my emails and the USCIS site just before going to bed but for some reason didn't last night.

On top of this I passed my Virginia driving test yesterday.
