Well everyone, Im oficially a resident of the United States of America !!!!

Went for my interview this morning and I got approved and I also got a stamp in my passport.

I already received a TEXT msg that says that my card was alerady ordered today.

Thank you God !!

Dear everyone,

I got my Green Card together with the EAD card in the mail and this feels terrific!... the date on both letters is 6/21/10. I had received the welcome letter on Friday. Also, the photo on the GC doesn't look so bad, actually I am surprised it is a good looking photo!! :dance:

The GC does make AP moot in fact.

Turned out she received the AP in the mail on the same day we went for the infopass.

She'll travel June 28 and be back 3 days before the interview, on July 20.

I am so truly happy for you both :)

I took her to the airport via the Brooklyn Bridge (where we walked the day before the marriage ceremony).

She'll be back on July 17 in time for the interview. Her son is graduating from the best university in Thailand

(he already has a job as a management trainee with Nestlé). I'll make a point of mentioning that in the

AOS interview. I'm hoping he can qualify on his own to visit us in New York because he will be able

to easily make a case for going back to Thailand (a great career which may likely take him to

Switzerland & other European countries).

Do you think they dropped the AP approval because you were about to get your GC anyway?

The GC does make AP moot in fact.

As most of the people, I applied for the AP because it is included in the price of the AOS. I guess that my case wasn't an "urgent situation" for them as in the AP application I said that I was planning to travel to Colombia in December. <_<^_^

As most of the people, I applied for the AP because it is included in the price of the AOS. I guess that my case wasn't an "urgent situation" for them as in the AP application I said that I was planning to travel to Colombia in December. dry.gif^_^

My wife wanted to spend a month in Thailand with her family but she decided to settle for a little more than

2 weeks so she can get back before the interview on 20 July. Hope you can get good tickets for Colombia

in December. We had to buy her ticket a day after she got the AP (Friday) and had to pay a huge premium.

It seems that the summer season (summer in US, in any case) dictates high airfare prices worldwide,

even if the season in a given country (Thailand, for example) is not anything close to the high tourist season.
