I just got an e-mail saying "your case was transferred and is now being processed at the USCIS office". So my case was at the CSC a week as well.

Transferred to CSC on May 5

Transferred to USCIS office on May 11

This means that CSC has it and is processing it. Those of us in the March group all received the same info. It is confusing and made me wonder if it was sent to my local office, but it has not been. Astrid in our group received the same information and within 3 weeks of the confusing email she had her green card approved.

Me too!! I KNOW that looking every day does nothing, I also KNOW I've signed up for text updates (if my status changes) but what if they've touched it?? What if they haven't? How am I to obsess over their inactivity if I can't see they're being inactive??? Ohhhh the horror!

Okay so I commented the above... 40 mins ago.. basically implying that the site being down doesn't matter.. I have my text updates after all... I have since changed my mind.

I just received a text from the USCIS site telling me that my case has been updated (gave me a receipt number which I checked my NOA1 for and it's my I-485) and to LOG ONLINE TO CHECK IT!! Right. Totally possible. God I hope it's not an RFE... officially giving myself permission to freak out...

So, do I call the mis-information line? Or just wait till the site comes back up?

YAY!!!! Are you getting the locked out message as well? If you do call, will you PLEEEEASE ask them WTH that is about?

edit: Do you have your MSC numbers? I have been able to type mine in and see what the status is, but only sporadically.

Already did that yesterday, as expected.. they were no joy. Actually, it was weird, it was like she didn't hear my qn, she just reeled off this "so you're not calling because X and "you're not calling for X" etc etc. It was quite strange. Like talking to a machine really.

She DID tell me that they access the system a difft way to us so she doesn't see exactly what I see.

Re the MSC yeah. I tried to "Case status" page (without logging in that is) and was given the same "locked out" message. Think maybe they're telling us to calm down? I think when it goes back up we'll crash their system... :P

Someone just posted a thread that said it is down for 4 hours. Hope you have a transfer to CSC and not an RFE. Good luck!

Oh that's good to know. I was a little worried!

Today I checked my status online: the I485 was touched but nothing for the I765 (since May 4) and I131 (since April 23).

Thanks for the good luck 'cause....

Thank you! It's strange though because we were also waiting for our case to be transferred to CSC and then to USCIS local office but it didn't happen, which kinda worries me a bit. Now we got to gather our evidence and prepare for the interview. I didn't think it would happen this fast lol.

Hello, this is my first time to post but I’m a constant follower of this forum. Thanks to Vanessa for a comprehensive guide, it helped me a lot on preparing my application. I’ve done everything on the guide and more to avoid RFE. I’ve been anxious for nearly 3-weeks now since I received the hardcopy of my NOA on 21 April. I haven’t received my biometrics appointment until now while most of April filers have received and done their biometrics. I had a “touched” status on 29 April, which makes me a constant caller of our mailbox thinking they prepared my appointment letter, but sadly no letter until now. Imagine my surprise when I got an update on my I-485 case by text message this morning and the status says:

“On May 12, 2010, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.”

Is this possible? I have not done my biometrics! Do you think it’s an RFE?

Welcome aboard and congrats! It is possible that you have not received a biometrics notice yet, but if you have not received one by 30 days from your NOA1 I would call USCIS to check. Being that your case was transferred to CSC is a good thing and has nothing to do with a RFE. Most AOS filers have been transferred to CSC without an interview however CSC may transfer it to your local USCIS. Good luck in your journey.

Definitely not an RFE and happy to see you liked my thread :D

Besaangel hasn't got her's either and her NOA1 was the 22nd April so fear not. I have also read of this happening to some people and you might get your Biometrics after it arrives at CSC (maybe it will remind them you haven't done them yet :D ). As stated by someone else, if you haven't heard after 30 days then you should call (with your receipt number) to find out what's going on.

Congrats on the CSC transfer, hopefully we ('cause I got transferred too :D) won't have to have an interview.

Best of luck for a speedy process :D
