You have to log in. You should only get a text/email when the case status has updated... doesn't stop me checking every day "just in case" :P

Grats! Ahhh walk-ins. i'm so glad they allow them. I don't think I could have handled 3 weeks of doing NOTHING just because.. esp now that I went in there and saw there was NO-ONE waiting!

I was really thinking that they would turn us away. They were definitely very nice, not like a visit to the SS office or Motor Vehicles Dept :angry: I have to say that New Yorkers are a little on the rough side :devil: There was no wait at all for us.

BTW, I log in once every hour to check my status lol I think I have an OCD problem :lol:

I got touches yesterday on PR and EAD and today on EAD and AP....I hope that means something good is going to happen soon :)

I haven't had any touched on my AP since the 23rd. i live in Iowa, right next to Illinois, surely that means the mail should be quicker!

Just got this email an hour ago. I guess it means they have entered our case in the system in California.. Or it s just a touch?

whatever it is.. feels good that it is moving and not lost

What do you mean "still"? I thought the transfer to CSC actually SAID "has been transferred to our California Service Center" or has it changed now? I thought the "USCIS office" one meant it was transferred to the office near you so that you could have an interview...

"On November 29, 2007, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you."

I just checked the dates... I485 was transferred to CSC on April the 29th, I have a hard Copy of that

And on the 6th of May we got that email that said that it is moved back to USCIS. it looks like the papers were in CSC only a week.

is that normal?

On May 7, 2010, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Is it good or bad? Will I get my AOS approval faster?

My biometrics appointment is on 5/18/2010 though ...

My biometrics appointment is on 5/18/2010 though ...

Still attend your biometrics.

Transferring to CSC usually means you won't have an interview... but this isn't always true.

It also USED to be faster but seems to have slowed down a bit.. still a bit faster than normal though and if you don't get an interview even faster still :)

Either way it's not a bad thing. Good luck, hope you get approved soon :)

Did you get the biometrics appointment yet? Also you are adjusting from a visa other then a K1?
