So what is a time line from here on? How long does it take without interview to get to the end?

Well.. you could always hope to be like Astrid from Australia who was approved in 41 days from her NOA1 date. And she was transferred to CSC. I'm hoping to "beat" her "score" but I'm already at 14 days so I have 27 or less to "beat" her :)

That said, there's no guarantees. Some people from Feb are still waiting (and others but I remember Feb specifically). Luck of the draw :)

Just yesterday received our letter scheduling the biometrics for May 13th. Went to the ASC today and they did the biometrics without a blink of the eye. Actually the people were very professional and efficient.

I believe it depends on the receipt date on your NOA (I-797C) - that's the date you're considered to have 'officially' filed ;)

GOOD LUCK TO ALL APRIL FILERS!!! ^___^

May you all have a speedy approval! :D :D :D

From an April filer to another, I need help.. I sent I-485 and I went to USPS for paying $1010. The money orders were sent to the US Homeland Security Departmeent and the lady asked me for a postal code. We assumed it was Washington D.C. code, and now on USPS page, on Track and confirm, I got the message that my mail was "Undeliverable as Addressed".. Can you help me,pls?

Good luck to all

Hey hippyske, Your money orders were made out to "US Homeland Security Department" That is essentially correct. Your application, Form I-485 along with the money orders should have been sent to: U.S. Citizens and Immigration Services, PO Box 805887, Chicago IL, 60680-4120. Sounds like you sent the application to the wrong place using USPS, Priority Mail. The Postal Service should soon be returning your mail to you. When it is returned just send it to the correct address. You will have just lost a few days in the processing time.

I sent the package by mail express to the other address from Chicago, I guess I have to wait for the money to come back. Thank you very much:)

Actually, the cheque is most DEFINITELY incorrect and WILL result on an RFE when it eventually gets there.

As per the instructions the cheque is to be made payable to "U.S. Department of Homeland Security". They will also accept "United States Citizenship and Immigration Services" but that is not listed on the I-485 instructions so I loath to do something that they don't tell me on the form I'm completing.

Here is a thread to read: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/235331-aos-ead-ap-from-k1-the-aussie-way-doc-list-included/

The mailing address is listed at the bottom of the OP. I would personally send it to the physical address which is what I did when I asked for delivery confirmation. I would HOPE the PO Box would do it the same, but I know a person would sign for my package at the physical address immediately, whereas a PO Box I would have to wait for them to collect it.

Best of luck for it to be returned speedily.

Hey everyone, just wanted to share some good news with all. We set a infopass appointment for this morning to see if the AP could be expedited. Rosemarie was granted her AP on the spot. They are very reasonable if you are prepared, have a valid reason for the expedite and have documentation supporting the reason given.

Congrats and thanks for sharing!
