Hey everyone, I have a question. When applying for the Adjustment of Status for the K-1 Visa Holder, do I, the US citizen have to give a copy of my passport, passport pictures, G325-A form from myself, my birth certificate or anything else? And also, does anyone have an example of a cover letter for the Adjustment of Status because I can't seem to find any on here.

I've filled out these forms so far:

I-485

G-325A

Copy of Birth certificate (original and translated)

Passport pictures

Copy of passport, visa, and I-84 form

Vaccination worksheet

Wedding Certificate

What am I missing other than the affidavit and employment permission form? I am a bit confused so your help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you all so much! :)

Adjustment of status is for the foreign-born applicant (not USC);

The AP and EAD are likewise, so no copies of the USC's passport

or G-325-A are required; they already got all that in the petition stage.

I actually filled out the G-325A for myself regarding the AOS, but did

not send it as I could see no form or instruction that required it.

VJ has an example of the cover letter data, and you can see mine in this forum.

We will be filing soon too.

I see you list vaccination worksheet.

You should download the I-693 and complete Part 1 (but do not sign it).

Take the vaccination worksheet and the I-693 to a Civil Surgeon. The Civil Surgeon will "translate" the vaccination record into the I-693 and should then complete and sign the appropriate sections.

You will then sign Part 1 in the presence of the Civil Surgeon.

You should not require another medical exam if your previous exam was within one year of your filing.

That is my understanding of how it works for the I-693.

In an adjustment from a K-1, no, you do not need to send anything on yourself

Don't forget the proof of relationship like photos.

You don't need to send any proof like that for AOS. You show that proof if you get an interview.
