I'm just wondering what kind of questions they will ask at our interview. I am a little worried because while I was finishing university I was on income assistance - subsidized housing, childcare assistance and food stamps for a time-I had my son when I was 19) - and am worried this will hurt our application. We will have a co-sponsor so that might help? I'm just so scared right now!

If you have a co-sponsor I would expect you to be fine. As for questions they vary for most people, but in general seem to be - how did you meet, when, parents & childrens names and possibly dates of birth, where do you live, what is your partners job etc

With a cosponsor I think you're going to be okay. Even if you make nothing and your cosponsor can cover the full 125% above poverty line themselves, that will be fine.

Just make sure YOU fill out an affidavit of support as well, no matter how much you make. I was not aware of this and at out interview yesterday my husband and I nearly had to wait on our approval, because I had to quickly fill out a form myself, even if I didn't make much and my aunt was my only sponsor.

As for questions, this was the list my husband and I got asked. We were each asked the same questions about one another:

Are you a member of a terrorist organization?

Do you belong to any communist parties?

Are you a spy?

Were you ever arrested or deported from the US before?

Have you taken advantage of American benefits?

How did we meet?

When did we meet?

What's Dean's birth date?

What are Dean's parents names?

Where do his parents live?

Where were we married?

What day were we married?

Did we marry within 90 days of entry?

Where was Dean born?

Does Dean have any siblings, and if so what are their names?

Where do Dean's siblings live?

Did Dean have a job when I met him, and if so, what did he do?

Is Dean working right now, and if so, what does he do?

And obviously they asked Dean the same questions about me. They also made him recite our home address.

It's all easy easy stuff.
