The best thing to do is book your medical before your interview at the embassy. The results take 5 days to be processed and sent to the embassy.

You can have the medical on the same day if you wish but this will hold up the approval of your visa until the results are received by the embassy.

I would advise booking the medical for a couple of weeks before the interview then if you run into any issues they can be sorted. I have had my medical alreadt and dont even have my interview date yet.

You will need your case number, LND....., from the NVC in orer to book.

This will tell you all you need to know.

Good luck.

Have a look at the 'Embassy Info' link and read up on the medical section. I believe you simply call up Knightsbridge Doctors with your LND reference number and make an appointment.

I'll have to have rootle around, but i'm fairly certain that the DS-157 has been replaced by the DS-160, which is an electronic form? Might be talking absolute tosh, so hang on for someone who's been through all this recently :D

There are 4 threads going like this one for some reason. I answered and moved the other, and asked Kathryn 41 to take care of the extraneous ones. :)

Seems like a rash of double (or more) posts today (lately). Wonder if its system related.

Yup, it's lagging a lot, hanging on the loading screen, so people are hitting refresh or post again. Happened to me earlier.

You just need the medical questionnaire with the tick boxes filling in. Check their website; http://www.knightsbridge-doctors.com/ on there, use the phone number from the emigration page and book the appointment.

They will be able to explain anything else you need, but it's basically, passport, passport photo, the filled in form, medical vaccination history and that's it.

Duplicate thread with responses also moved from K-1 forum and merged with existing thread here so all of the information is in one location. Remaining two duplicate threads removed.

Just to clarify, for K visas the DS-157 is still in use. This is for K visas only. DS-160 is for other non-immigration visas.
