In almost every case - the person who wants to visit the US (and needs a visa) needs to apply directly at the US Embassy/Consulate that serves their country. More information can be found on the web site for the appropriate US Embassy/Consulate.

Hi

You need to ask for a B-2 visa, this is a non immigrant visa, addressed to tourist or pleasure activities.

You normally, need to prove that your are able to support yourself while your visit and also to have strong ties to the country where do you live.

But it is also going yo be related on which country you are a citizen from. so the best thing you can do is have o look, on the webpage of the consular services in the foreign country. Because there are a lot of different rules according to their nationality. p.e. Most European citizen, they dont need a b=2 visa, they are allowed to travel ( they needn't a B-2 visa ) and in the POE they give them a maximun of 3 month to stay ( i-94), Against B-2 visa holder that are allowed at a maximun of 6 months for their staying.

so you better go to the consular services webpages and there you will find accurate information according to your needs.
