Worried- Please advise

Hello to everyone. I am a new member tho I have been gleaning information from this sight since we started or visa process. I have learned so much from all of you and I am thankful for you wisdom and humor. And I have to admit that I enjoy the occasional heated discussions that I have read. Emotions run high thru this process and it's good to be able to vent some steam.

My question is about the proof of relationship that must be provided. My husband and I were married on February 17, 2006 in Marrakech Morroco. We have alot of photos of my trip to Morocco and the wedding party. We have many photos of us with his family. But because we talk daily via computer we have only a few emails or other correspondence. We usually talk for a few hours every day. Please share some feedback. I feel that this may not be enough for the embassy in Casa. I am really worried because it looks like the embassy there is a little tough on visa applicants. Maybe someone could advise me. I am missing my husband so much and I am scared.

Our I130 was approved on 7/17/06 and the K-3 approved on 7/27/06. Case number assigned. I pray that all of our loved ones will be with us soon. And for our lives to begin.

Congratulations on your marriage and welcome to VJ. You'll find myriad experiences here from VJ. I've found that if you are prepared and organized Casa can be "managed". If there is an age difference beyoned 10 yrs., Casa can be difficult and will doubt the validity of your marriage. If I can give any advice, is be prepared for ANYTHING. Go over interview questions with your husband, until he is blue in the face. Prepare, prepare, prepare. My friends husband was questioned in Casa about children and her tubal ligation. How did they know about that? He answered appropriately and he got the visa. You cannot know enough about each other, and Casa makes sure that you do. I wish you all the best.

Whatever you do make sure they see all of your evidence even if they don't ask or even refuse it.

Since I have been on VJ, read all the posts and talk to women... Casa does seem to be very difficult. But many visas have been approved so be hopeful.

As you say you speak via the Net...I would just really recommand saving a phone file to your PC or even if you want to really be precise take photos of the number on your screen ( this may seem extreme, but whatever works you know) And/or just start emailing each other random short emails... or SMS text messaging ...

They usually require 3 or more different proofs...but if you can, make as many as you possibly can...

Sorry I couldnt have been more help...but my SO isn't from Maroc...but I am sure one of the ladies with SO from Maroc will give you more info...

That is the best advice, here. I know all too many cases that the men had the paperwork, but following their cultural norms, did not "offer" it to the CO and waited to be asked. They were never asked and were refused.

We talk mostly on Skype so I printed out print screens of out call history and they looked at that.

I bought phone cards from time to time so I showed those receipts.

We had emails which was important for us because my fiance does not speak English so we had to show we both speak French.

Pictures are good, maybe put them in an album and label them.

Passport stamps and plane tickets are good too.

Welcome Ahlam,

What service do you use to speak on the net? You should be able to get somekind of printout. I use Skype and I have a 35 page print out, lol.

Thanks so much for all the advise. We will get it together and present everything we have. I am sure Abderrazzak will make sure to show them everything.

Regarding the age issue, I am 50 and my husband is 38. I know it will raise eyebrows. It raised mine. lol

But I hope that we can overcome their doubt with the truth.

Everyday I worry and everyday he reassures me. He is patient and hopeful. I am trying. This process is so uncertain and the embassy so arbritrary that it is difficult to remain positive. But your kind words and advise is very helpful.

Make sure that when your SO is being interviewed, that he forces the evidence on them. When he pulls out each piece of evidence, have him keep explaining while he goes along, to make it flow!
