I remembered an IT Admin installed a webcam underneath the super hot sexy Christina Hendricks lookalike secretary desk. His salary is 87k. He was caught, and fired.

MORON. He deserved to get fired. US currency in large amounts (87K is enough) is the world's best aphrodisiac. He could have bought himself into that if he wanted, or something even better if he went for foreign women. But, hey, I support his right to do stupid things at his own expense.

Generally speaking, most employers probably don't care what their employees do on the computers or the network so long as it isn't illegal and it doesn't affect the employee's job performance.

You wouldn't and should never be fired for sending personal email from a work computer so long as you aren't harassing someone or revealing company secrets.

Those two are true, but there's a third - if your activities put the network at risk, either performance risk (say, streaming video in a bandwidth constrained branch) or security risk (this is obvious).

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

indeed, it's all obvious. I think most employers are aware that their employees don't work all day non-stop. Certainly not in corporate jobs.
