How do we fill out the following situation:

Wife sponsoring both parents, has no job.

Joint sponsor, her husband with Joint tax returns.

Do we have to fill out two I-864's for each parent?

one by the daughter, one filled in by her husband?

If wife is no working how she fill out i-864? does she has to put $0.00 income?

very confused, really don't know how to fill out the i-864 with no income. Please someone help us!

Thank You very much!

daughter is primary sponser - she filed the petitions, she's the petitioner.

she must file one, regardless of income.

is 2 casefiles, for 2 humans, for 2 petitions -

so must have 2 sets of 2 I-864s.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

A better way would be:

The Wife would fill out the I-864.

The husband would fill out the I-864A (since he is living in the same household and providing his income to help the primary sponsor meet the level).

(you would make copies of these for the second parents application (if they are both listed on the affidavits)

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Thanks for all your help!

I just don't know how to fill out the one with no income, is leaving almost the form in blank, Should I write a letter explaining why?

Never leave anything blank.

If it does not apply to you, write in N/A.

For the income lines - if the answer is zero for the tax year write in the number 0.

You don't really need to write a letter explaining why. For the current income, in question 22 it asks about your current employment - you would mark item D Unemployed since - and enter the date you have been unemployed since.

I am in same boat as you in regards to wife no income and she is inviting her parents. This is what I am going to do.

For question 23, $0.00.

For question 24b i am going to put my name(husband) and my income. Then total line 24a and 24b and place it in 24c. 24c will be showing my incoming.

That means I will be checking 24D and filling out I-864A.

Sajaan:

1. You put all immigrants on both your and the co-sponsor's I-864.

2. Depends how many people there are in your co-sponsors household.
