And yes Ant, thanks for trying w/ the list. lol But I figured since I already have a complete one, I might as well just post it at the end of the month.

And yeah, I will promise to send out the draw and info before the 5th of every month, if we can all promise to send our cards out by the 20th

Ashenflowers-No problem...Lol..Though yes, I admit, it's a lot easier if you post the complete list, then everyone else trying to figure it out...I had such a hard time with the formating...I'm sure you can do a better job there....lol..So I leave the list posting up to you...)

It's a deal.... I'll send my postcard out by the 20th (or before then, as I like to send my cards out earlier, since I'm at the post office sending out the rest of the bills at the same time....might as well send something fun like a postcard instead of bills...), and you have the draw by the 5th

of every month (and update the contact info and lists too) Thanks :) Keep up the great work with the postcard exchange! :)

Happy Postcard Writing and Sending, Everyone! I'm looking forward to more postcard fun for June! :)

Ant

P.S. SupportGeek-Sure, you can join in on the postcard fun! The more the merrier..;)

Ooh I can't wait to send mine. Unfortunately, whoever receives it will know right off the bat it's me because of the post office stamp! I don't think there are any other Nunavummiut on the forums. B-) That and it'll likely be a card with something Inuit/Nunavut on it.

I just found my "lost" post cards. They were in the bottom of my backpack, doh! Now I have enough post card stamps for 3 years worth of post cards!

So my postcard is on its way - was actually mailed out yesterday.

I was really hoping to find a postcard showing the miles and miles of kudzu that covers the South at this time of year, climbing up trees and poles and creating interesting 'kudzoo animal shapes' (like we used to see in clouds as kids). Alas, no success yet but I did find a good stash of local postcards at Walmarts. I had checked them before without success, but this time someone 'knew' where they were - they tend to be in a separate stand at the front of one of the cashier checkout stations along with local souvenirs. So, for those looking for postcard sources, give this one a try.:-).

I don't send my postcards out anonymously - and I think it would be really cool to get one from Nunavit! :D

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

That's a good point. I hope everyone's signing their VJ (or real) names on the cards, so everyone knows where and who they're from! That's part of the fun, no? :D And thanks for the tip on finding cards! Hopefully that helps some of us :) I'm getting sick of going to the postcard stands around here and seeing the same ones over and over. lol I don't remember which ones I've sent where.

That's a great card OBX :) I have chosen which of my cards I deem the most 'summery', but I'll have mine out in the mail tomorrow!

Hi Everyone,

Glad to see you all partipating and sending out all your postcards! :)

And yes, it is very cool to send and receive postcards from all over the USA, Canada, and the rest of the world!:thumbs:

By the way, I was at my local library in my small town the other day, and I was surprised to see that they had some black and white historical postcards of local buildings for sale. So to those of you who are looking for postcards, you can try looking at your local historical society, library, post office, or places like that for some local historical ones too....

In the meantime, I've printed out some more homemade postcards of my country/rural backyard in the summertime and will be sending my June 2010 postcard this week. Lol..I just have to stop by the post office for some more stamps, and I should have it sent by this week.

To whomever gets my card: It should arrive by the 20th or so, if I send it out by this week. It's got quite a bit of a distance to travel, so yes, please let me know if it gets there. Thanks.

Meanwhile, I'll be waiting for my postcard in the mail. I can't wait to see what the mailbox has in store for me!

Happy Postcard Writing and Sending, Everyone!

Ant

Oops! I thought we weren't supposed to put our names, VJ or real. Oh well...the recipient of my card will know who it is anyway, haha. I mailed mine out last Monday (the 7th) so when it arrives, likely in December, let me know. Just kidding, but it probably will take awhile!
