Considering what is going on in Cuba................

If, hypothetically, a large number of Cuban Americans begin petitioning for their relatives in Cuba to immigrate, these would all start with I-130's right? Will they have any kind of priority status because of the circumstances there?

Does anybody know how this will effect people who already have paperwork in progress, or are just now submitting petitions? I sent our I-130 on Saturday, so at least it's on its way. Sheesh, just in time?

If there's mass upheaval, and thousands fleeing in boats, they may be considered political refugees applying for asylum. Not sure it would affect regular petitions, but who's to say?

They would never do that because the Cuban government wouldn't let them leave anyway... Otherwise, many would've brought their relatives long ago

I am American man trying to get my girlfriend from cuba to America. My girlfriend just finished collage in cuba as A accountant and she was told that she has to repay the goverment 2 years of work. The company she works for said that they will release her in 1 year. She went to A lawyer in cuba and they told her to that we should get married in Cuba and this will help her get out faster rather then do the K1 visa. I am not sure what to do, should I marry her or should i do A k1 visa. I was told that the K1 visa is better but that is if you did not go to collage I have been told that the cuban goverment is very inconsistent. Please someone help me. Thank you
