Hi all,

So I'm starting to get a bit worried... My AOS packet, EAD and AP were all approved on the 11th of this month, heard a few people say it should take like 2 weeks ish to get it but I haven't received anything. I know the USCIS says wait up to 30 days but it also says that they have sent me the approval notice, which I also haven't received (this was sent on March 17th) - anyone have any idea if I should call them up?!

Thanks,

Sam.

I would wait till the end of the week.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

We were approved March 17th, and got the second email March 22nd. The Card arrived on Saturday the 27th.

If you live in an urban area, this is probably a respectable timeline - the card came from Missouri. If you live in a more rural area, I would expect a little bit more delay - a day or maybe two as it gets sorted. By my count, it's a few days late.

Unfortunately, as the USCIS says, give them 30 days. Maybe if you get to a nice operator, they can confirm for you the address they have on file. Otherwise, they likely won't let you do anything about it.

Also, make sure you're carefully going through the mail. The card comes in a plain, unmarked envelope. No USCIS. No big bright letters saying "green card enclosed!" I'm sure you wouldn't have missed it since you were expecting it, but if anyone else sorts through the mail it may have been passed over accidentally.

Hi,

Since your case was transferred, it will come from the CSC. Not sure how long those usually take. However, from my experience, it took about 6 days from the time I received the e-mail "card production ordered" and it came from CSC. Also, the envelope was just plain and windowed, very similar to the EAD card envelope (if you've received that).

Good luck!

Well our mail is currently being forwarded to our mailing address which is different to our residential address... We're right outside of Orlando so it's not exactly hidden away! Thanks for the replies guys, I'll keep you posted as to what we get - so far nothing has come to the mailbox addressed to me (or the mailbox outside the house, for the record!)
