Hi all,

I'm preparing the I-134 for my fiance's interview at the US Consulate, yeah! Do they also requires forms of evidence, such as...

- employee letter with title and salary

- tax returns

- copy of financial statements (bank, investments, etc.)

Thanks!

  • Employment letter may/may-not be proof of current income. For most folks, things like recent pay-stubs work well for this purpose.
  • Copies of financial evidence (bank accounts, etc) are not required unless you're using these as assets to make up any shortfall in income. If income alone is sufficient, the sponsor does not have to disclose this information at all (and would not need to support it with evidence). If you are using a value on the I-134, you'll need to support it with evidence.
  • Tax return(s) would need supporting documents such as W-2's, 1099's etc. (Or an IRS tax transcript - which would not require supporting documents since they're already included on the transcript them self.)
