Ok, that's just gross...

This article makes some very good points. Just to talk from my own experience- you can want to have sex all you want, after the 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks- if you have a baby that needs to eat every 2 hours and a feeding takes an hour and then you try to take a quick shower , by the time you are "at it", you can be sure your little one will be RIGHT THERE, wide awake and hungry.

And yes, carrying around a newborn all day long, all I wanted was laying in my bed, ALONE, no touching, nothing. Just me and myself, mind you that before your little one arrived, you already carried him around nonstop for the previous 10 months.

But I think I can say that no, it didn't take a year to have our sex life at least close to where it was before and I didn't read anywhere in the article that suggested that there will be absolutley no sex in the first year.

I agree though, having a baby changes your sex lives, you have to be more spontaneous,...

On a lighter note: After having a baby, you know your body much better, during giving birth you got introduced to muscles you didn't even know you had and ummh...can make things a lot more interesting..LOL
