I fail to see the huge problem in this. But I guess that's the "mom perspective".

Your husband wouldn't have a problem with waiting a year?

Yes, of course, let's drug the Mom.

Wouldn't it be cheaper and healthier to hire a regular babysitter?

Well, I'm not necessarily talking about myself, but so what if he did? Having children means making sacrifices. A year is not that long in the scheme of things. You'd want your exhausted wife to have sex with you out of guilt even if it's the furthest thing from her mind?

I just don't see the need to run out to therapy to fix the "problem". It seems to be a pretty common thing after having a child and things usually go back to normal eventually.

Oxytocin helps in bonding. Cuddling and kissing can actually help moms bond with their husbands again since all their energy is used in taking care of the baby.

It was good for us in a way since Daniel came back from his deployment when our baby was 5 months old and we were ready for us time again. He did not have much to complain about :D

You'd want to keep your husband happy and satisfied not out of guilt but because you honour your husband. You have heard of faking it, right....even if 'it's the furthest thing from her mind'? She may be tired, but not terminal.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Every woman's body heals differently. With my first c-section, it took about 2 months for me to not be in pain in that region.

This time, I'm hoping my recovery is easier. However, I know my husband and the most important thing to him is that me & the baby are fine. If he knows I'm in pain (like now at 9 months pregnant, for instance) he would never be upset that I didn't want to.

Plus, we were separated for months at a time when he was still in Peru. Honestly, there's more important things than sex, and I wouldn't purposely put myself in a situation where I'm in pain or could reopen an incision just so that he can get some  He would never want me to anyway.

I guess I got one of the good guys :)
