Hi!

How do you know when your case has left VSC and has been received by NVC?

Also, how do you know when the embassy in the foreign country has received your application?

You can only find out when they get your petition at NVC by calling them and giving them your NOA number. You'll also get to know when it leaves NVC to the consulate. To find out when the consulate gets it, you'd have to contact the consulate.

ABout ur questions, u can call the NVC to check if ur case has been received. There is a way to track your case once it has been sent to the embassy/consulate on DHL website...i am sorry I dont know exactly how as I couldnt track mine on DHL. Hopefully some other member will be able to shed more light...you can try the SEARCH facility and use keywords such as "Tracking DHL" etc...i know this quesiton has been answered in good detail by other members already...all the best!

try this thread.... i called nvc to ask the status of my case since i got the NOA2 on the 24th. as of the 31st, nvc has received my case and will be doing more reviews or so the call it . the lady i spoke to said to call within the next 2-4 weeks to check on the status of my paperwork.... and that i will be receiving notification on when it was sent out via snail mail.

you can try to call them to check if they have recieved your petition.

04-29-09 Received NOA1

08-17-09 Approved

08-20-09 NOA2 Received

08-26-09 NVC Received

08-27-09 Case Number Assigned

How long did you wait to call NVC, YYB? A week after NOA2?

devilette, hmmm had i known i could call them asap then i wouldve, hahahah! i buti got my NOA2 monday and i called them monday the week after. so yeah maybe wait a couple of days... :)
